MALLERY'S POV -- I stand in the open shower, only a glass to keep the water in. The water pools over my head, down my body and my muscles relax. I keep my head down, breathing calmly and I step out from under the water, my chest rising as I gasp for a deep breath. I wipe the water from my face and turn the faucet off. I walk out of the shower, standing on the soft white shower mat, leaning for the towel and wrap myself in it. I look back at the shower, wondering what it would have been like if I never found Jason, more like if he never found me. I would probably have never showered again, I would never had a home-cooked meal or clean water.
