Halie's POV
Ian frowned and nodded, walking out of my room. I slipped my clothes on my body and sighed. At least he turned me down. Maybe it isn't just about s*x with him. "What the f**k Halie?" I questioned myself. "I would like to know too," Ian stated and my head shot up. "You're still here?" I questioned and he nodded his head.
"I want us to be on good terms," he told me and I sighed. "Then maybe you should quit being an asshole," I suggested with my arms crossed. He chuckled and stalked over towards me, pinning me against the wall.
"You drive me crazy," he mumbled. "Can we be friends?" He asked and I looked into his eyes. Could I be his friend? "On one condition," I told him, letting my eyes continue searching his. "What?" He questioned, barely above a whisper.
"You let me date Trey in peace." His eyes clouded over in anger and his nostrils flared. "You want to be my friend, right?" I asked. "I do," he growled and I rolled my eyes. He pressed his body closer to mine and I nearly moaned at the contact.
Damn this boy is changing me, I voiced in my head. "Halie, I'm not going to be okay with those terms. Why do you want to date him?" He asked, his face nearing mine. I licked my lips and stared at his, anticipating his next move.
"Because he can help me," I whispered and Ian scoffed. "Bullshit. I can help you!" He said loudly and I sighed. "Ian, we are too broken. I need someone who is willing to help me find myself," I told him softly.
Ian did exactly those things, but things would be too messy to get involved. He had Kyeese. Why did he need me? He scrunched up his eyebrows and sighed. "You're right. Do whatever you want. Kyeese will be around, a lot. So if we will be friends, then you two have to work out things. I'm going to make her my girlfriend," he said smirking.
My heart dropped to my toes, but I smiled anyways. "Congrats. I'll see you tomorrow at the café, friend. I need to eat and do my physiology work." He frowned but nodded. "Alright Halie. See you later."
He left out of my room once more and I fell to the ground. "Life's not fair," I whispered. My phone went off and I sighed, reaching for it. A small smile played at my lips while reading the text from Trey.
Trey
Hey beautiful, I miss you
Halie
Can you come over? And I miss you too
Trey
Sure. Be over in 10
Halie
Okay
I changed into a tank top and some athletic shorts, fixing my hair in a messy bun. The door bell rang and I smiled. I could do this. I could move on. I could be happy. I didn't need Ian. I just met him anyways, right? It was too soon to fall for him.
Yeah, keep telling yourself that, my conscious teased.
I rolled my eyes and headed downstairs to let Trey inside. I opened the door and he flashed me a boyish smile. He looked so handsome. I felt something inside of me stir and I smiled.
"Hey, want to go ride?" I asked him and he shrugged. "Doesn't matter. Where you want to go?" He asked and I stepped towards him. He pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead. The simple act left my heart beating ferociously.
"Trey," I whispered and looked up at him. "Yeah Halie?" He questioned with a quizzical look. "Can I do something to you?" I asked and my cheeks heated. He chuckled and nodded.
Before I could change my mind, I got on my tipi toes and cupped his face. I kissed him gently, pushing myself further against him. He picked me up and my legs wrapped around his waist.
He deepened the kiss and I moaned. We pulled away, panting. "That was unexpected," he mumbled and I smirked. "The ending was," I said and he smirked. "Go on a date with me?" He questioned and I nodded. "Of course," I told him.
"Tonight. Be ready for 8. I'll be back gorgeous," he told me and pecked my lips briefly. He put me down then walked out, leaving me a smiling mess. My phone pinged and I lazily pulled it out of my waist band.
Ian
Kyeese is over. Can we all talk?
Halie
I guess. Come over.
Ian
Okay.
I growled at my screen then took a deep breath. Why was I jealous again? I quickly cleaned up the best I could and waited for Ian and Kyeese to arrive. Shortly after I started preparing supper, there was a knock on the door.
And no, I wasn't cooking for them. Aunt Carol had to work late and to be nice, I told her I would cook her something since she's always cooking for me.
I walked over to the door and took a deep breath. Opening the door, I smiled, doing my best to keep it on my face. "Hi," I said and motioned for them to come in.
"Nice house. I didn't think you lived somewhere like this," Kyeese commented and I scoffed. "You have five minutes Ian before I throw the b***h out. Better change my mind about her quickly," I told him, ignoring the shocked look on Kyeese's face.
"f**k," he mumbled and rubbed his face. "This isn't going as planned. Look Halie, I want us to all be friends. I'm tired of the drama," he said and Kyeese shifted uncomfortably.
"Kyeese," I said and she looked at me. "I'm dating Trey. You're dating Ian. Ian and I are friends. You and I are merely people who can exist around each other. Are you cool with that?" I asked and she frowned.
"You're dating Trey?" She asked, her bottom lip quivering. "Yes," I stated and she glared at me. "You little tramp!" She screamed and I gasped. "Are you f*****g serious?!" I yelled back. "You can't have the damn football team to yourself. Grow the f**k up," I warned and she shut her mouth.
