Earlier that day Elliot turned his face toward the sky, enjoying the sun as he listened to the returning birds chirping happily. It was a lovely Saturday, and a lot of people were out and about, visiting the annual Spring Food Fair. The city had rerouted traffic from Main Street, and rows of booths selling all kinds of delicacies lined both sides. Elliot strolled along the street, weaving his way through the crowd, and had a great time at the event. This was the upside of living in a city. In his small hometown by the foot of the mountain, nothing fun like this ever happened. He didn’t try to keep the smile off his face as he passed the different stalls and inhaled the wonderful aromas assaulting him from all directions.
