Although he expected the first pass would be mostly reconnaissance, Blaine had the crew load a full tank of retardant just in case. There were times he missed the high tech gear that had crowded the cockpit of his jet fighter. He’d carried precise surveillance equipment, communication links to an extensive network of information, including ground troops, the latest intelligence data, and the main command.
