The next morning, Graham let his dad sleep in a little later, since he’d miss his afternoon nap. As his dad grew tired through the day, his emotions tended to be erratic. He wondered if this was what it was like for parents of young children. Did they have to worry about naps and emotional outbursts? He should ask his sister sometime. His dad insisted on wearing the ratty old shirt, but it made him happy. The few holes weren’t that noticeable. How many times did his dad have in his life to be happy like this anyway?
