I stop on a cross road waiting in the pavement when the traffic light signals green. I was looking at the countdown and it felt like forever. I closed my eyes.
When I was young, my grandpa used to say to me that when I close my eyes and shut the whole world including the sounds I am hearing and the touch I feel, either the winds caresses or a person, focus for seconds before opening your eyes again and the first person you see will be the one for you.
It was how grandpa met grandma. He kept on telling me his story when I was still a little kid. And since then, I believe that I will meet my partner just the way grandpa met his.
Out of all the million people around in the world, I just wondered if what were the chances to find the one for you. Those people were lucky.
I slowly opened my eyes with a little hope in my heart that I'll see Kenton. My eyes went wide when I saw him. Kenton. . . Kenton's fvcking best friend, Sean, who's one foot away from me, wearing his grinning face making me want to knock all his teeth with just a punch!
I was surprised to see him so near. I pushed his chest making him took a few steps backwards without wiping his grin.
"Why are you closing your eyes?" Sean asked and I walked passed him crossing the road since the light turns red.
I don't like that person because he kept on molesting me but I forced myself to be friendly to him because he was Kenton's best friend.
"Hey, Riel." He grinned. I just wanted him to go away.
"What?" I said and I didn't bothered to hide how annoyed I am to him.
"Mac's calling for you." He said pointing the campus gate where Mac, my best friend, was waiting and waving his hand to me.
I ran ahead of Sean and I threw my arm around Mac's back.
He was the first one to know that I am gay. We were classmates ever since grade school and we got separated during middle school and then now. It was pure coincidence that we became classmates this high school.
MAC WAS the one who introduced me to Kenton and Sean. So, Mac looked like the bridge on my way to Kenton but the problem is someone was on the way, Sean, who was the troll hiding below the bridge.
I was dumping my books when my ball pen fell rolling and I stepped on it to stop it from rolling away before I bent to pick it when someone just hit my ass me making me gasped in surprise and took a step forward in an awkward position. I stood instantly when I regained my balance and turned to face the culprit while I blushed.
It was Sean!
"What the hell, Sean!" I exclaimed.
"Sorry. I was tempted to do it seeing you were displaying your ass boldly." He said grinning and I just wanted to punch him.
"You perv—" I stopped when I saw Kenton approaching us.
"Hi, Riel." Kenton greeted and I gasped silently. I suddenly forgot Sean and I feel like I wanted to fan girl right there!
He greeted me! I will die with a happy face!
"Hey!" I greeted back as if my mind wasn't in haywire. I secretly glanced at his sweatshirt and I know inside was a body worth drooling for. I was stripping him naked inside my head slowly. Naughty thoughts! Sweet naughty thoughts!
"Where's Mac?" He asked.
"He—mffl!" Sean just covered my mouth with his hand.
"Mac was at the club's locker room." Sean said and I slapped his hand away giving him a piercing glare for stealing my moment. I should have known he will do that.
"Oh." Kenton said and motioned Sean to start walking to their first class. I just smiled at him and watched them walked until they left turned. I sighed.
Sometimes I felt like Sean has feelings with his best friend. He was one of my rivals but the thing was, he's cheating! Sean was taking advantage of their friendship! That perverted troll! But too bad, I know Kenton doesn't like him because I know he was as straight as the straightest pole!
Poor troll!
Poor me also but I'm planning on pulling him in my colorful world.
