Where We Stand

Jun's POV: ~ 'hows ur day so far? (:' I sent the message, sighing as I walked towards class. I honestly don't feel like going to class, but where else was I supposed to go. I entered the room, just as the bell rang. Walking over to the back seat, I sat down and looked out the window to the far end of the room. This was the only chair unoccupied so I can't help it. "Psst." I turned to my left and saw a girl smirking at me, batting her lashes at me as if asking for something. I smirked back and winked at her. "Wanna help me out with something... later?" She whispered, licking her lips then biting on her lower lip. "When's later?" I asked, moving closer to her. I haven't slept with anyone in a while and I'm a wee bit frustrated. Maybe she can sort that out for me. Smiling devilishly, she wrote something on a piece of paper and handed it to me. She winked at me before excusing herself to the bathroom. As she left she was shaking her ass sexily, catching most of the guys' attention. "Damn." Mumbled the guy in front of me. I just chuckled, then looked at the paper she gave. 'Janitor's closet, 2nd floor. End corridor.' Smirking to myself, I raised my hand. The teacher saw me and I told him I wasn't feeling well. "Oh really, Miss Crawford?" Mr. Alvin was sceptical. I don't like his slow class and yeah I just want to get out. His eye was twitching as he questioned me, making me feel like he's about to have a fit. "I got hit by a loose ball earlier. I think I got a bruise." I explained and feigned pain coming from my stomach. "Yeah. We saw it happen, Mr. A." Hank stepped in, helping me convince him. Nice. Mr. Alvin looked at me first and shook his head, then signed an excuse slip. I took my bag and walked over to him, taking the slip with my 'I feel sick look' which was working. Leaving the classroom, I turned towards the stairs and went down one floor. The infirmary was at the 1st floor so it's fine and there weren't any teachers around. Smiling, I found the door at the end of the corridor. I knocked first and it immediately opened, Cass pulled me in, kissing me violently. "Woah, there kitty." I teased, pulling away from her lips with a smirk on her face. "Don't keep me waiting, Jun. I know you want it too." She retorted, making me a bit miffed. But I like how feisty she is. Not a second later, she crashed her lips against mine again. She took off my vest aggressively while I unbuttoned her shirt. She wrapped her leg around my waist, while I kissed away at her neck, leaving a few soft bites that made her moan. We went at it for a while, until she said she'd had enough – too satisfied of my work. She looked like a mess, her hair was a disaster and she has a lot of hickeys where they shouldn't be which made me feel a bit proud of my work. "Wow... That was... Wow." She said in between breaths with a sexy voice, smiling as she put her arms around my neck for one more kiss. "Anytime." I pulled away, helping her button her shirt as she fixed her hair. I took my vest from the ground while Cass redid her make up. I slowly opened the door to see if the coast was clear and sure enough it was. I went out first before her and we parted ways. It was already lunch time, meaning I can see Klair again. As I walked towards the cafeteria, Hank caught up to me with a smirk on his face. "So, how was she?" He asked giving me a knowing look as he waited for my answer. "Good as always, man." I replied, grinning wide as I ran my hand through my hair. "Thanks for the save earlier. Pay you back with lunch?" "Ha! Pay me with a chick, dude!" He chuckled as we entered the cafeteria. I already saw Trish in the queue so it means that Klair should be here. Randy was already sitting at our table along with Lucy, a middle-schooler who has an amazing voice and also a good friend of mine. She was talking to Klair, hope they would be good friends. I took out my phone first, seeing a few messages from Raz: 'its okay so far... wish u saw wut happend jus now! a huge frog was right the window in english! it made a few people squeal! xD' I chuckled as I replied: 'froggy! lol...! u screamed too didnt chu? o wo' I sent the message and walked over to Klair. The table was already full, save for one chair. Hank and I looked at each other, both of us didn't want to be left out so we scrambled for the last chair. "Hah! Too slow, Vincie!" Randy laughed as much as the rest of the table. I just smiled at them as I looked at Klair. I bet she knows what I'm thinking. "Oh, no. Don't you dare, Vincent!" She roared, saying my second name which meant that she was serious. Putting on a playful smirk, I swiftly pulled her up in one go and sat on her chair even before she could protest. I sat her on my lap as Randy chuckled along Hank. "Thanks for the seat, babe." I smiled as I snaked my arm round her waist and I kissed her cheek; she instantly went red and looked away with a frown. Oops. Habit. I just chuckled as Trish came back with food. She set one tray for Klair and herself, then sat adjacent of us. I looked around and realized that everyone was looking at us. "By the way, Klair. Have you met these two people at our table?" I asked her, hoping she'd look at me. She took a bite from her pizza and just nodded. "Though, I don't understand why we have middle-schoolers in our cafeteria." She said, leaning back into my chest as I chucked. Just as I was about to reply, the sharp noise from the microphone boomed. "That's why," I said, shifting in my chair so she could see the small stage at the end of the room. "They thought we could get along and also get to know each other; a part of their 'One School Program'." I placed my chin on her shoulder as I watched the emcee fumble with the microphone. "Alright, everyone! Who wants to show some lovin' and get this show on the road?" The emcee shouted, making the whole room shout in anticipation while some even applauded. "Alright. Alright. Settle your t**s and d***s. Who wants to take the floor first?" Everyone burst out laughing as the first group got up on stage. "Who are they, Jun?" Klair asked; her eyes glued to the stage as she munched away on her pizza. "A middle school band; they'll mention their name soon." I replied, holding her hand with the pizza and taking a bite off it. She frowned at me while I just wink at her, making her look away. I just kissed her cheek and watched the band. Oops. Habit. ~ Sheila's POV: ~ I never saw something like this back in seventh grade. I mean, even if there was something like this back then, I don't think much people would be so excited about it. The band played a cover of One Directions's Live While We're Young, making most of the room sing along with them. I couldn't help sing along as well. Hey, we're young right? Once the song was over, the emcee took the microphone again. "Alright! Give it up for the FelineFive! They got that one in the bag huh?" She said, making the crowd burst in applause to the previous band. "Alright. Who's up next?" The crowd broke into whispers, making me think that they hadn't planned on a list of who will perform. Soon, a kid from a middle school table shouted 'Signaix'. I raised a brow as the crowd chanted it over and over. "Ohohoho! Looks like the crowd's decided! Signaix stand uuuuuup!" Shouted the emcee as the crowd hollered louder for the band to get up. I looked around the room, hoping to see who was going to sing. When none stood up, I felt a bit disappointed. This was new to me so I was hoping to enjoy it while I much my pizza away. "Klair." Jun whispered, making me turn to her as she smiled. "You can have your chair back." She continued, a smile still plastered on her face as she lifted me off her lap then put me back on my chair. "Randy. Hank. Lucy. You don't want the crowd to wait do you?" She called out to them, smiling back at Jun as they stood up and went to the stage. I've only just met Lucy, but I never knew she was this close to Randy and Jun. The four of them got up to the stage as the crowd shouted louder. The lead singer was Lucy Travis, a middle-schooler. She was pretty and I don't doubt why the guys are wolf whistling at her. "Hank Roberts is the bassist while Randy is the drummer." Trish explained, scooting closer to me as she sipped her ice tea. Well I never knew he could play drums, and of course, Jun plays the guitar, but I never knew she knew how to though. What else does she play? I looked at my phone first, in case Czy replied already and he already did. I smiled as I typed in my message, my heart feeling light at his thoughtfulness. 'it just bcame awesum!! xD' I sent the message, just as Jun's band finished preparing. Jun looked awesome holding her guitar, just as much as Hank held his bass. "Hmm, I think Jun's gonna sing today." Trish said, taking a quick glance at her then back at the stage. Jun can sing? Never knew that! "A lil change of plans, my friends! Hope you don't mind." Jun apologized to the crowd, but they just cheered louder. Most of the girls squealed as Jun took the microphone in her hand. Lucy took another guitar and began playing a few notes while Jun jumped into her rhythm. Hank joined in the guitars' duet then Randy followed. They were playing a song I was not familiar with, but the crowd loves it anyway. Yeah, you might have somebody No, but you don't got me! Oh, but your thinkin' 'bout it Yeah, it's so easy to see I won't tell nobody Nobody's gonna tell on me We both know it baby Exactly what this could be But sometimes you can't hide The way you feel inside! Your love is the only thing I can't live without it It's too good not to talk about it About your love And I wanna know How exactly did I get around it? How did I ever live without it? Without your lovin' A little bit of lovin' Beats a whole lot of nothing at all! My jaw dropped at the sound of Jun's voice. She sang so well! No wonder the crowd is hyped. Even the girls were hyped and she knows how to make the crowd wild. Though I can't help but notice that she keeps looking at me throughout the song. Maybe I'm just imagining it, but why do I keep having this hiccupy feeling in my stomach? I could be The only thing that you'd ever need I could be Something you don't wanna leave Let me be the one that's gonna make you believe That you were really made for me! She was looking right at me as she sang that last line. I clenched my heart, feeling a little light as if it might fly away. What is this feeling? "Klair? You alright?" Jun approached me when the song ended. The emcee already took the microphone, making me think that I was spacing out just now. I nodded at her, making her frown with worry written all over her face. She picked me up, putting me on her lap again as she sat on my chair. I leaned back into her chest casually as she rested her chin on my shoulder again, snaking her hands around my waist. "Are you really okay?" She whispered against my ear while everyone on our table was looking at the stage. The emcee was calling the last band while the crowd cheered on. I could feel Jun's arm tighten slightly around my waist, telling me she was really worried. I just held her hand as she loosened her grip, smiling as she turned to me. I met her gaze, her beautiful hazel eyes filled with happiness and worry. My heart skipped a few beats as we held our stare. I've never noticed how long her lashes were, at how long these eyes have been looking for me. "Are we interrupting something?" Trish cleared her throat, making me turn to her as our whole table was looking right at us with smiles on their faces. Jun just chuckled just as she dismissed Trish, making grin devilishly. "Aww. Look at what you did Trish. I wanted to snap a photo!" Lucy joined in to tease, making me blush and look away. "Never seen you blush like that before, Sheila." Randy chuckled as Hank and him high-fived. Oh geez, somebody save me from this embarrassing moment! Jun looked at her watch, sighing as she lifted me up just as she stood up. I looked at her with my embarrassed face as if to tell her not make it worse. She just smiled, as she took my bag with one hand. "See you at practice, boys. Trish. Lucy. Laters." She said to them, turning around and headed for the door. I could hear whispers around, but I don't care anymore. I just want to get out of here! We got out the cafeteria and Jun set me down, hugging her briefly then smiled at her. "Thanks for the save." I said, making her radiant smile come out and beam at me. "Anytime, princess." ~ Jun's POV: ~ I bowed to her, as if a knight wanting to protect her like the princess she should be. She just giggled as we walked down the hall. "We have class together. So follow me, kay?" I told her, taking her hand in mine as I adjusted both our bags in my arm. "O-okay." She stuttered, looking away and not meeting my gaze, which made me frown. Is she really okay? I'm really worried now. "Hey," I called out to her in a low voice, putting my hand on her cheek as she gasped. She slapped my hand away and she looked at me with wide eyes. Something is definitely wrong with her. "I'm sorry. I-I just... your hand was cold!" She explained, trying to find words to excuse herself. I just smiled at her, opening the door to the room just as the bell rang. "Well where do you want to sit?" I asked, letting go of her hand to let her choose. "How about at the back? Like always?" She smiled at me as she walked towards the back row next to the window. I sighed, running my hand through my hair as I walked towards the back. She sat at the last seat while I sat in front of her, making her frown. I raised a brow at her, wondering what's wrong. I gave her bag back, putting mine on the side just as the rest of the class got packed. I looked forward, taking out my phone and seeing if there were any messages. I unlocked it and saw a text from Lucy. 'Suuuuuup! Lol. I lied earlier, so here's your copy! :p I want ice cream for it~' I saw a photo of me and Klair. I think it was from earlier when I was worried about her face being red while she was clutching her shirt. We are looking at each other eye to eye, making me smile as I saved it. I should thank her later. Raz also left me a message; I opened it and smiled as I felt happy that her day was going well. 'woah...! found a hansum guy? :p' I sent it, just as the teacher said that we were just going to watch a video for the rest of the period. Great! Thank you History! I leaned back into my chair as I watched the video from the HD TV hanging by the corner of the room, just before the door. Most of people moved in closer to the front since the teacher closed the blind, making it hard for him to see what we're doing. As I watched the video, I heard a soft giggle coming from behind, making me look at Klair from the corner of my eye. I couldn't see much so I looked at her over my shoulder. A warm smile was plastered on her face with her cheeks turning a slight pink. I mentally sighed, feeling a little annoyed as I ran my hand through my hair. My phone vibrated making me take it out and unlock it; Raz sent me a message just now. 'mmm, no... not sumthin like that... but I guess he is hot...' I smiled at the sentiment, but I don't like her as much as she likes me. Right now, I feel like my old feelings for Klair are starting to come back. Well, it never left, but I just can't bring myself to tell her just yet. I'm a coward. Even after three years... 'oooohhhhh......! fallin for the bad boi? :0 bet i'm hotter than him~' 'maybeeeeee.... idk... lol, dunno how to compare wen ive nvr seen u b4! xD' 'open ur heart ;)...but ur legs wider :p' 'LOL! thats weird! xD' 'rly? i find it very normal~' Her replies are quite fast, meaning she must be as free as I am; though I wasn't entirely free since I have to watch this video. The class was too focused on the video that I'm feeling a little bit drowsy watching it. I sighed as I heard another soft giggle from behind. What is making her giggle? I turned around to look at her and found her looking at her phone. Curious of what's gotten her funny bone working, I walked to her side and bent down so the teacher wouldn't see me, then saw a 9gag photo. "So that's what got you giggling." I whispered, smiling wide as I tried to hold in my own laughter. "Yep. Found it in the site." She explained, smiling at me as I sat on the floor next to her. "If that ever happens, I'll be sure to congratulate your guy." I said through a smothered laughter. "Hah! If that ever happens!" She said, trying to contain her laughter as well. We both laughed softly as the teacher shushed us, making us just smile at each other. This felt so familiar and I miss this; just us, laughing together and smiling. Klair was looking at me with a smile, her gentle smile made my heart feel warm. But then she looked away, her face was pink, making me chuckle a bit. "So, how's your day so far?" I asked casually, making her look at me again while I look at the TV. I turned to her and smiled as she looked at me for a minute, her cheeks turned red and looked away. "F-fine," She stuttered, making me smirk as I held her free hand. She gasped softly, making her look at me. "W-what's up?" She asked, her face dawning a light shade of pink which made me smile. "Nap; let go when class is over then I'll wake up." I explained, smiling as she contemplated. Before she could even respond, I closed my eyes and feigned my sleep. I could hear her sigh as the video went on, making me truly drowsy. I held her small hand, the warmth it was giving me made me happy that she was back. I guess I'm really in love with her. To hear my own heartbeat against my ears is something else and I can happily say that I'm in love with her. Just like old times.
