CHAPTER 16
The entire day I hardly saw Devon come out of his office but I could not get over the fact that he thought he was sharing me with some other man. In a way, that very thought was refreshing but it also made me wonder why. This was supposed to be just casual s*x, right? A distraction to the bitter truth of the reality in the world. The entire day, I focused on Devon as a way of stopping those terrible memories from taking over and so far it was proving really difficult to keep them at bay. It was almost five P.M in the evening and I was already preparing myself to leave when Devon stormed into my office, banging the door closed slightly after his rather dramatic entrance.
