Chapter 9: The Forgotten Treasure
The Pavilion elders announced a competition among the disciples—a treasure hunt in the Clouded Caverns. Rumored to be filled with ancient artifacts, the caverns were also a maze of traps and illusions.
Shu teamed up with Lian Hua, hoping her sharp mind would complement his erratic abilities. Wei Rong and his group joined the hunt, eager to outshine Shu.
The caverns tested the disciples’ wits and teamwork. Shu’s rune proved invaluable, allowing him to sense hidden traps and navigate the labyrinth. However, his bad luck struck again when he triggered a collapsing ceiling.
Separated from the group, Shu and Lian Hua stumbled upon a hidden chamber containing an ancient artifact—a jade pendant inscribed with celestial runes. The moment Shu touched it, the pendant fused with his mark, causing a burst of energy.
The event drew the attention of Wei Rong, who confronted Shu. Tensions escalated, and another clash ensued. This time, however, the artifact enhanced Shu’s abilities, allowing him to overwhelm Wei.
Though victorious, Shu felt no satisfaction. The pendant’s power was overwhelming, and he feared its true purpose.

Chapter 10: The Sect’s Warning
The elders examined the jade pendant and declared it a relic tied to the World God’s legacy. Master Tian grew more cautious, warning Shu about attracting dangerous attention. “Artifacts like these are sought by those who would exploit their power. You must learn to conceal your strength.”
Shu began intensive training in spiritual control, guided by Master Tian and Lian Hua. The process was grueling, as Shu struggled to balance his chaotic energy. Yet, through perseverance, he began to refine his abilities, gaining a deeper understanding of the rune’s potential.
Meanwhile, rumors of the pendant spread beyond the Pavilion. A shadowy figure, cloaked in darkness, received word of Shu’s discovery. “So, the heir has awakened,” the figure mused. “It’s time to test his worth.”
Unbeknownst to Shu, the first seeds of a greater conflict were being sown.
