I had been working all day in my office, trying to recover what I had lost in the last few weeks, trying to put my whole head into that without thinking too much about the rest. I turned off the computer that was late at night and got up feeling my back creaking after hours and hours in front of the computer. He came out of my office and locked the door code. The house was completely empty, probably everyone was sleeping. I went to the kitchen because all day I had not touched food and took something that had been left over from dinner.
