Chapter 10
Tears blinked out of my eyes faster than a cheetah, dribbling down my chin and landing on my shivering ice-cold hands as I heavily breathe through my nostrils, after a long minute of holding my breath I finally released it.
Unfamiliar faces turned petrified from my brutal words, like setting this place on fire was much exceptional than speaking about the bitter truth.
Afraid of his previous violent actions, I crawled a little back as a small whimper crackled from me. Terrified of what he would do next, instantly forced me to regret the words I just threw on him.
His eyes turned red, more darker, deeper and vibrant than the color of human blood.
Alpha, the only true leader.
Tearing my eyes away from him just when I felt all the energy slowly draining or more like forcibly jerking of the body, I immediately figured out he was gathering energy and power from ever soul breathing in this room.
Not many, but a few gasps could be heard from the crowd circled around us. Slowly it began to start, one after one a body fell limp on the solid ground in result with extreme loss of energy and weakness.
Till now I never thought of how strong, dangerous and deadly he had become.
A hand was sharply slapped across my head, grabbing a handful of my hair, he twisted it before giving a strong, gruesome pull to it.
Letting out a loud scream of excruciating pain, my fingers trailed on Erik's hand, trying my best to pull his violent hand away from my hair however he didn't agree instead he pulled harder on my sensitive roots one last time before kneeling down to me.
"How many times do I have to tell you keep you pretty mouth shut?" He whispered to me gritting his teeth together, I could rarely make out his words, my whimpers were louder than his cragged whispers.
Coming closer to my ears, "Have you forgotten your place?" He questioned.
"No, I am sorry." I sobbed.
"No, no. I will give you reason to be f*****g sorry." He burst out, abruptly shoving my head on the ground.
My skull scraped through the rough texture of the wooden floor, my hair landed on my face causing me to tickle it away with my fragile fingers. Taking heavy large, breaths in, I struggled to get up but I couldn't.
I was weak, too weak to even function my limbs like a human. Once again, I helplessly dropped on my stomach.
Feeling the familiar hand unpleasantly wrapping around my throat and dragging me up straight until my exposed knees didn't scrape the dust of the ground.
I finally got the courage to twist my neck and apologise about my own words but what I saw was more terrifying. The same hands used to leave countless marks of my faces were now unbuckling his leather belt.
I gulped the lump in my throat, knowing what exactly was coming in my way, I couldn't take it. "No, no, no. Please no. I won't say anythi-" With the little to none amount of energy left in me, I slowly started to crawl away from the danger but it was too late.
His brutal fingers gripped my rotten hair from behind, he forcefully yanked me back to my position, the same exact position I have been sitting for centuries, just to receive a horrible punishment blessed from one of my tormentors but this time it was worst.
Belts were awfully the worst torture device I had ever experienced with, they just don't burn or sting for unknown days instead they wound your soul with its marks forever.
Before I could beg or even look at him, the thick leather belt aggressively whisked across the cold air before landing on my back, my healed back was once again brutally beaten up into thousands of bruises.
My back instantly arched forward in pain, I screamed as the sting crawled up the new bruise granted by Erik. The thin white cloth wrapped around my body was no longer supportive. Cries broke down from the room as the scene repeated not once or twice but continually twenty times.
After the last hoarse scream bursting out from my dried, sore throat and after his hands, belt and eyes leave my body alone, I immediately curl myself up in the middle of the room.
Letting all the eyes stare at my wounded body.
His muscular body right of my eyes, forced me to crawl back in fear of repeating this night ever again however every time my sore limbs moved, they screamed in agonising pain, painfully begging me to stop moving.
Continuous whispers of sorrow breakdown from the hidden crowd, some people laughed at my humiliation while other held a terrifying look on sleepy faces.
Looking down at my white night suit, I noticed, not just one drop of blood from the event displayed earlier but the white dress has now officially turned red with streaks of belt and my own dark red blood streaming down my back.
My hands tremble as I graze the ground. He doesn't seem pitiful at all instead he just calmly speaks to another maid, not even once glancing towards the person he just broke.
Something cold, metallic touch the tip of my fingers. Still sobbing, I wipe my blurry eyes, hoping to have a clear vision before looking down at my hands just to see something much worst.
A gun.
The gun he brutally used to kill that innocent woman, who had nothing to do in between us but still she lost her wonderful life because of me. Taking some time to notice some of the people leaving the room and heading back to their room while some still stood frozen on my their spots, looking at me with a hint of sympathy in their eyes.
I sigh, taking one last breath before slapping my hand over my mouth, not wanting to scream at this dreadful moment of my life. I heavily breath through my nose, grasping every inch of oxygen around me before raising the gun to my head.
Turning everyone's attention to me, except for his. It disappointed me for a minute but I didn't care, my fingers curled around the gun, loading it as soundless gasps spread all across the crowd.
Slipping the metal gun away from my head and directly pointing the gun straight on his torso before releasing my breath in complete satisfaction. Endless screams and pleads raised from the crowd but it was to late, I had already pulled the trigger.
