Chapter 5

1300 Words
My heart hammered out of my chest on the instant second the door punctured open with enduring rage. The suddenness of this pristine action forced me to jump away from the bottle with everlasting thrusts of fear pounding my heart. Wasting not even a second more, I concealed the scent by shoving the cap of the potion and inhaling the left essence inside, embracing it. No one is allowed to know anything about me or this potion or the connection with the outsiders. My hands trembled with immortal amount of fear as I strapped the brown lid on the potion. When I became aware of the footsteps clattering around my room with such freedom, I couldn't take it anymore. Who dare to enter my room without my approval? Weren't they disgusted by the unpleasant scent, dirt or the spider web formed in the corner of the room? Why would they walk around? Grabbing a white, clean towel from the metal rack placed within the room, I lashed out of the washroom while covering my healed nevertheless scarred body, however, after I met those same eyes for the third time I right away stormed back in with a hint of concern but more of the blood dashing up my cheeks. "What are your doing here??" I questioned him with curiosity lacing from my humble tone. I slammed the door with anger but then I forced it open so I could observe his pointless movements around my room. My right hand was placed on my throbbing heart as I clutched the towel closely to my chest. "This is my castle. I can go anywhere." He responded, he sounded calm yet angry. I sucked my bottom lip nervously and rolled my eyes around to think of something random to say but when I hear a glass clattering down the floor and then breaking into thousands of pieces I walked out. Emerging out of the washroom, I dashed towards the place I caught a glimpse of the broken shards, I stared at the last candle I had owned and now it was crippled up into thousands and million pieces of small, tiny glasses. This was the only light I ever had in my entire life and now its gone...all I am left with is darkness..complete darkness. "Where are your marks." I was pulled out of my thoughts when he spoke with concern in his voice. I gulped my collected saliva in and looked at him with constant fear of him finding out my potion and then ripping it away from me. His finger flickered around my neck and a little bit of my chest, he glared at me with curiosity swimming in his eyes, he wanted answers and he was going to get them. "They healed." I shrugged, taking a small step away from him. "Don't lie to me. You can't heal that fast and wit-humans don't heal." He growled, his eyes furiously swapping from red to black and his wolf gets restless, in a swift second he stands in front of me with pure anger blinding out of his from his red eyes. "I am not lyin-g!" I stuttered with a little bit of courage holding in my voice but that vanished away the moment my back brushed the cold wooden wall. He stared in my eyes, digging inside my memories and figuring out my ridiculous lies but when he couldn't find anything expect for blazing darkness, a knife ripped out from his pocket. His sudden movement forced me to flinch but the fear only started to rise when he grabbed my hands. It almost felt like metal had seized my wrist. His both eyebrows raised. "Let's see, how fast do you heal." He smiled, bringing the knife up to my wrist. I shivered but I masked my fear. The silver knife swiped across my wrist, a sharp sting slashed out from my arm and after that I didn't feel anything expect for complete numbness trickling down the cut. Before a drop of blood could even slip out of the cut it just miraculously closed and what sent shivers down my spine was when that sole cut left no bruise. Who the hell did that happen? Was it because I inhaled the scent or maybe because I stayed to long in front of the bottle. "I know you are doing something? Tell me what it is?" He asked, tugging me forward by my cold and naked shoulders. His nails dug inside my delicate skin however that no longer made any impact to me. Before the pain even touched my skin, it healed without a warning. "I don't know what you are talking about? I healed-I always did. Now please let me go, I have to change my clothes and go to sleep." I said, giving out no emotions. Loosening his fingers on my shoulders, he spoke. "Fine. I will figure it out by myself and till then your whippings will be exceeded to fifty. Once you decide to tell the truth, it will go back to normal. And also you won't be sleeping now, since you healed, why don't you go down and help the other slaves." He assured a smirk before walking away from my room. Dammit, I should have stayed paralysed on the floor. So much for healing! My fingers moved across my chest, my other hand rested on my hip bone and in a abrupt second I ripped the towel of my body. Still angry, with what just occurred a few seconds ago, I ran to the main entrance of my room and slapped the door close. The voices of wood slamming on the wood thundered across the black walls nevertheless the drifting air lacerated through the door sent sudden shivers down my body. Escaping back to the washroom, I look around for the bottle and once I saw it, I continued to stare at the potion like it was something really important to me. Is it permanent? I hope so, then I will never feel any kind of pain. I could even kill those nasty bitches who ruined my life. I grabbed it and scrambled back to my room. My eyes wandered across my small room, trying to find a good hideout to place this little thing however when I find nothing expect for the exposed wooden shelves lined in the walls, I scurried back to my bed. I picked it up from the floor and the small dust particles starts to spread all around, forcing a sneeze from my mouth, I placed the bottle in the corner before pushing the bed back down. The dust once again diffused in the air but I took a step back away from the bed. Sighing, I look down at my skin which now felt amazing on my body. Not even a single bruise of a deep, crimson cuts neither the red, stinging marks from the constant whippings, this was the first time I have seen my body porcelain clean white but I didn't knew how much longer would this amity feeling would last. Rubbing my shoulder to create some kind of heat, I walked towards the shelves and pulled out some amazing, skin revealing clothes I could try on today since I don't have any marks to hide anymore. But considering the fact its night, I couldn't help but wear the normal clothes. After straightening the wrinkles on my clothes, I walk out of the room but before taking a step out I groaned wanting to sleep instead of working in the middle of the night. Walking a distance, I notice a few night maids working around the castle, some holding heaps of clothes while some just tiredly march around the castle, their limbs stressing out unless like mines. Perfectly healed.
