Scent suppressants were charms worn by people who did not wish to give off their scent.
They were mostly used by the military when they were penetrating the Enemy’s camp and did not want their scent to be a give away to their enemies.
The charms could be placed on any kind of accessory but most people will opt for bands that blended in with their clothes.
Others (the rich in this case) also placed them in their jewelry so that it will blend in perfectly with their ostentatious appearance.
