When Amelia asked me where I was, I didn't want to lie to her. I could have just said I was spending time with my dad, and he was pep talking me about the fights ahead, but I knew eventually the truth will come out. So I need to be honest with her now. There is a chance she will see Ares become that monster, and I am afraid she will fear us.
"When I was sixteen, I had a whole day off from Alpha training." I decided to start from the very beginning. "As you know I and everyone else already knew we were mates. Do you remember Victor DeLuna?"
