To say that I was shocked would be an understatement.
Hunter and I exchanged a look before our gazes locked collectively on Valerie. The toast she held stopped mid-air as she gaped between us. Eventually, she trusted me enough to have her breakfast in her room while the three of us moved to the office.
“What the hell do you mean?” I snarled as soon Hunter slammed the door shut.
The man was exceptionally coolheaded for someone who had dared to walk into my property and demand something of me that I would not give. Nonchalantly so, he fiddled with the cufflinks before meeting my eyes.
“I want to talk to Valerie,” he said, actually demanding.
“The hell you will,” I snapped.
He paused for a moment, looking between Hunter and me while I contemplated the various things. “Alpha
