CHAPTER 35 – Hiding from the queen

“I think we found a piece of strong evidence from the kitchen, brother. This can help us get an idea about the culprit,” Reigyn said with the golden thread in his palm while we were returning from the kitchen. It was my first time visiting the kitchen of Father’s castle. I noticed how maids were ogling the both of us and I was certain that if they had a chance to eat us, they wouldn’t waste a second.
“I have to meet Sir Barren. I need to discuss some security issues in my Barthwaite castle.” I wanted to run away from him and the investigation.
“Listen, I know that you are not interested in this case and neither are you interested in Hildry. But I hope you want to release Emma from this mess,” Reigyn voiced out and I stopped immediately.
