“It’s supposed to be the biggest pool party of the year! I mean, Kristina’s parents are supposed to be super rich!” Yas rambled as we approached the building for our classes. “We have to go!” “Yea, I’ll go, but only if we promise to stick together and we come back together too”. I stated as we walked through the corridor. “I’m up for it. It beats staying in my room while Lisa makes out with her boy of the week!” She commented as we all chuckled. “Ok, so, should we all meet in the common room for 4pm?”. Yas suggested excitedly. “Isn’t that a little early?” Natalie responded with a slight frown. “It starts at 3pm, so by 4 it’ll get busy, and I want to get a good seat by the pool”. Yas replied as me and Natalie nodded in agreement. “But on another note, have either of your parents updated you on what’s going on in town?” She asked as we both shook our heads. “My dad just said not to go out alone and to always call him before I go to bed, so he knows I’m ok”. Natalie told as I kept quiet rather than telling them that my parents don’t actually tell me a thing, and still feel the need to keep me in a bubble from the truth. “Well, well.. as if our day couldn’t get any better, now here comes the three most beautiful girls on campus!” Darius called out as we walked toward him and the rest of the boys who were standing around in the corridor we had just turned on to. “Very flattering, Darius. Be careful or you’ll start making us swoon!” Natalie chuckled as we all smiled at him. “Isn’t it a little early in the day to be so charming?” I jested as the rest of the boys stopped their conversation to face us. “I can’t help it, Eva, it just comes so naturally”. He replied with a cheeky wink. “Ah, just born to charm as many women as you can then?” I retorted with a grin. “Don’t worry, Eves I save all my best compliments just for you three”. He smiled in return as I chuckled. “You all going to the pool party?” Yas asked the boys as we all hovered in a group. “Of course we’re going”. Luke replied as he tucked his hands into his jacket pockets. “But our boy here is driving, so make sure you get a lift back here with him. Don’t want you girls walking back alone at night”. He added as me, Yas and Natalie all looked down at a brown haired guy who was knelt down on the floor stuffing a book into his bag. As soon as he stood up and looked at us, all of a sudden his eyes fell on me as they widened with a stare. I looked at him with a confused frown when I realised I’d never seen him before, but the boys caught the way he was staring at me which caused Josh to chuckle in amusement. “Ahh, like what you see, Con?”. He asked with a wide grin as he looked at me and his friend. “This is Eva, she’s one of the good ones, and a good friend of ours, so no funny business”. He warned playfully. “Looks like you have an admirer”. He commented when his friend kept his gaze on me. “Well, I don’t think I’ve seen you here before! I’d definitely remember a gorgeous face like yours!” Yas cooed as she stepped closer toward him. “I’m Yasmin, but you can call me Yas, that’s what all my friends call me, and I don’t see why me, and you can’t get better acquainted”. She said flirtatiously as she put her hand on his forearm. The boys all burst into laughter at her attempts to snap him up when Darius walked closer to her and put his arm over her shoulder. ‘Leave the new guy alone, I don’t think he’s prepared to be eaten alive by you!” He chuckled as he tutted at her with humour. “Excuse me? Yas retorted as she pushed his arm off of her. “I am very gentle and loving thank you very much! Don’t listen to him” She said as she looked at their friend. “He just hasn’t gotten over his bruised ego when he failed to make me c*m” She added making all of us gasp with amused shock. “Well it was a bit like throwing a sausage down a well!” Darius jested back at her with a playful laugh. Her jaw dropped as she looked at him in shock. “Don’t act like you don’t wish you could have me again!” She responded back to him with a sassy brow raise. “I would apologise on their behalf, but this is actually quite tame compared to how they are once they’ve had a beer”. I joked with their friend as I approached to stand next to him. “I’m sure I can handle it” He replied with a gulp as I looked up at him. I couldn’t deny that he was incredibly eye catching. “That’s good to hear”. I chuckled. “So are you new to town or new to campus?” “Uhh, new to campus”. “Hmm, well, I hope the boys don’t scare you off. So what’s your name then new guy?” I asked sweetly with a smile. “Conall” He replied as he hesitantly held out his hand for me to shake. I looked down at it and put my hand on his as a warm feeling weaved in my stomach when I felt his hand wrap around mine. “Nice to meet you Conall. I’m Eva”. “Nice to meet you too Eva”. He responded, but still void of any smile as he looked intently at me. “Well, I’d better go, my class is about to start”. I said to him as I eased my hand out of his and slowly started to walk away. “Oh, and welcome to Whitstead college, new guy”. I called out as I looked back at him and flashed him another smile.
