Wrath of a king
A long time ago, was a Dragon's Empire.
This empire was amongst the strongest of its time. Its strength was not only due to the army of dragons at their military ranks, but also to the men's peculiar capacities.
In fact, men were naturally gifted and generally birthed with an inhuman strengh potential. It was usual to see a woman die while giving birth to a boy, due to his weight or because of him struggling a bit, ripping her to death.
To that natural physical strength was added rude trainings for those who chosed to join the military ranks, where only the best men would survive.
That was a good forecast and investment, as after the death of their tamer the old emperor, there was no more traces of any dragon.
After a good while they couldn't find them anywhere, so we stopped all research.
The gifted well trained men thus kept this empire at the top amongst the most powerful.
Though they were beasts at the battlefield, the men were very loving and attached to their families. Hence, a greater value was given to the family by the imperial laws.
Someone's wife and children were sacred, untouchable, would they be foreigners.
Unfaithfulness from a women was not merely a crime, but something not to even consider or think of.
Before his departure, the Old emperor himself, to avoid killing or jealousy inside his own house, parted the empire in 02kingdoms for his 02sons to rule in each, but in unity. They were called : the twin kings.
The brothers, very respectful & attached to each other, ruled in strength &peace til the day one of them caught his woman cheating on him and then the other...

Twin king Zalen P.O.V***
- "I told you all the women are whores, you didn't believe me" i said to my twin brother Zoden.
- "..." without answering, he just stares at me blankly
- "Don't you worry bro, I know what it is. Reason why I quit reigning for now.
I guess you thought i was being jealous or parano because of my ex cheating wife"
I roled my eyes as I was speaking and commenting alone, and gave a compassionate look to my brother.
He was not the one to talk too much since childhood. He will just be reserved face to situations and will come after with an advice that'll prove he wasn't neglecting anything. So even if he doesn't show it, I can only imagine his pain. Something unthinkable just happened to him...
Of course he thinks now like me that : all the women are the same, as all they do is cheat, starting by all the late emperor's wives, continuing to my death ex wife, concluding with his, not to mention the many times he's heard soldiers, friends and even elders complain about how their women had been unfaithful.
No matter how pure and faithful they were at the beginning, they ended up lying, hiding &cheating no matter the efforts of a man to please them.
He caught his wife enjoying getting herself hard f****d by one of the palace guards. Yes he immediately killed the both of them with his own sword and sent their corpses to the lions den to be eaten. But this sanction isn't enough. Being a faithful ex husband &man of principles, his pain is greater and he feels like punishing the womankind despite my convincing(I think) arguments for him to change his decision...
Each of us took his deception his way : when I just killed my cheating wife and her amant caught red-handed, I immediately chosed to retract from ruling for a while, so that I could breathe and take all this in, trusting all my power to my brother so that he may reign on my behalf.
As for King Zoden he took hold of the 02kingdoms and became more rude and heartless than ever.
But actually, it is not about a measure as he wants people to think "to remove the opportunity to a woman to ever cheat on the king again", it's about a punishment, a revenge directed to one species : woman.
Nevetheless, I must say he is a good leader. The twin king Zedon brother holds a meeting every now and then to receive feedbacks from the 02kingdoms and gives instructions for every ongoing matter.

Assembly of the Wisemen***
- "I guess you already know your daughter is the one chosen by the regent to be the king's wife tomorrow, Wiseman Fagoore" a Wiseman stopped by this words another one at the end of their meeting held by the king himself.
- "Yes my dear friend, I know",
answered the counsellor in a broken tone, turning to face him
"and I was heading to the king as you stopped me. You know I can't bear to lose my daughter, I'll rather take her place to the archers grave..
- "If I may give you an advice, don't do that. Please do remember Minister Aloid who tried to save his daughter from this fate, they were both killed and after, his wife and their son were disowned. king Zedon said it should serv as a lesson to anyone who tries it again. You don't want to go and let the rest of your family without a shelter..."
- "What should I do then, we are talking of tomorrow"
Wiseman Fagoore retorted with a moved voice sounding like he was at the edge of tears.
Wiseman Evedor was moved and pained. He never saw him as weak in the past whatever the troubles, the wars and all, when all the other wisemen were panicking, or even the kings, he always used to be still, taking things lightly and giving advices of great value. But now he is almost crying and the troublesome of his heart is clearly visible : His family is his weakness.
"It's a matter of hours now, for my little flower to marry the king" he whispered as if asking his friend to help him find an escape for her. But Wiseman Evedor lightly shocked his head for the king not to notice it, as he was already standing behind...
- "I can see you already know."
Spoke the king, causing him to jolt back, not knowing he was being right behind him. He again turned around to face the king and both wisemen bowed to him.
"Good then." The king continued
"Just know that been your daughter doesn't change anything for her. As I am and will stay equitable. I intend to treat her likewise the others that passed before her : I'll marry her tomorrow, bed her the night and send her to the archers grave the next morning. After what you'll have her corpse to mourn her properly and with dignity."
(The women's corpses were returned to their families except for great dishonor from either the woman or her family).
Meanwhile, the king's words just bleeded the Wiseman heart as if a spear just pierced through it. How could he speak of his daughter, a lady of great values and of great heart as if she was a slut, a woman of a one night-stand ??? And more again talking already of mourning her as if she was dead already. He was bleeding and crying inside. But he is an obliged subject to the king, to whom is due total respect.
- "I know my king".
He answered, gathering more than all his remaining strength not to look affected or to collapse, then hesitates as if to plead for his daughter or not...
Then thinking of his friend's advice and of the king's words about equity,
"Excuse me your highness, I am not feeling well, I need to retire now" he bowed lightly before living the meeting room...
