“Who is it from?” Michelle asked, and the two men were equally curious. Lake was sweating bullets. How could Ezrah do this without telling him? Initially, he was forced to deal with Sebastian, as the latter had tried bribing him into revealing both Piper and Michelle’s whereabouts. After escaping that trap, Ezrah organized a romantic group lunch, putting him on the spot. “Ma’am, the sender is anonymous,” the waiter replied. Michelle shook her head and returned the bouquet to her. “Then I can’t take it. I would have to thank whoever sent it.” The waiter did not immediately take it back, looking for an excuse to give when Rush bellowed. “Or better still, throw it away.” If the person was anonymous, then he was indeed interested in Michelle, and Rush was determined to find his identity.
