"Who the f**k are you?" Lilith hissed, as she sat tied to a chair, thrashing violently to undo herself from her constraints.
The exotic looking woman sat across from her, her legs crossed and a satisfied smirk on her face. At that moment, there was nothing Lilith wanted more than to make the woman across from her scream in pain as she slashed away at her skin.
"This is the first time you're in this type of situation, right?" the woman tilted her head back and let out a loud laugh. "Fen Luo usually doesn't teach how to deal with losses so you're probably having a hard time accepting this right now."
Lilith was surprised that the woman before her knew her master but she made sure to keep her surprise hidden. Instead, she gritted her teeth and repeated her earlier question.
"Who the f**k are you?"
The woman uncrossed her legs and leaned forward so that her face was only a few centimetres away from Lilith's.
"That entirely depends on you," she said in a deep accent which Lilith hadn't noticed earlier. It sounded somewhat of a mix of Russian and French. "I could either be your worse enemy, or your saving grace."
Now it was Lilith's turn to laugh, "The moment out of these constraints, you'll be my victim, that's what you'll be!"
"If what you're looking for is introductions," she began, ignoring Lilith's threat, "my name is Alia Omarov. I am an undercover agent and leader of the special operations group, Virtitus."
"So you're a cop?" Lilith spat out the word cop as if it was the most disgusting word she had ever heard in her life.
"No, I am not a police officer. I am a special agent. I deal with very dangerous cases that cannot simply be solved by the law. We go after the most dangerous criminals you could possibly imagine."
"And I'm your latest target?" Lilith asked, the annoyance in her voice as clear as day. Not only had she lost a fight she didn't even have a chance to participate in, but the person she lost against was some special cop. She had been trained to be the best in the world yet here she was, tied to a chair because she had lost to a cop, or as she called it special agent. There had to be something else going on with the lady before her because Lilith had even competed and won against the strongest and best trained martial artists. So it simply did not make sense to her that some lady had her tied to a chair without a single piece of her hair moving out of place. Had this been anyone else, she would be cleaning their blood of her floors by now.
"Not exactly, no," Alia said as she shook her head slightly. "You're actually my latest recruit."
"Your recruit?" Lilith scoffed before she let out a sarcastic laugh. "You want me, an assassin, to solve your cases."
"The fact that you're an assassin is exactly why I want you," Alia said, completely unbothered by Lilith's sarcastic tone of voice. "And I don't want you to solve my cases, I want you to be the acting field agent in our latest mission."
"And why in the world would I do that?"
"I'm granting you legal immunity if you successfully complete the mission."
"I never asked for legal immunity," Lilith spat.
"Are you sure?" Alia asked as she tilted her head to the side with a faux questioning look on her face. "Because right now, I have enough evidence to land you in jail for the rest of your life."
"You don't have s**t," Lilith spat, which caused a confident crooked smile to grow on Alia's face. She pulled out a USB stick from her pocket and swung it in front of Lilith's eyes. She then saw Lilith's laptop lying on the sofa so she inserted her USB in to it and turned the screen towards Lilith. Within seconds, a video of Lilith killing Felipe displayed on the screen. Before the video could even finish, Alia turned it off and turned another one on and this time, she was on a murder spree and taking the lives of all of Felipe's guards. The videos were never ending and each displayed a different video of Lilith committing a crime.
"How?" Lilith questioned feeling utterly shocked and for the first time displaying an emotion that wasn't anger or annoyance on her face. She had always made sure that there was no evidence left behind. She cleared all CCTV recordings not only on the murder scene, but in all areas surrounding as well. She was always took precautionary steps and always made sure that there was nothing that could link her to the murder. Yet the woman before her had videos of her carrying out her crime. It simply was not possible.
"I work with highly specialised individuals. Our tech genius, Summer, has the ability to bring back anything from the dead if it involves technology. You can't beat her brain."
"That's impossible!"
"Nothing is impossible in my team."
A moment of silence passed between the two and Alia was hopeful that Lilith would agree. However, she also knew that individuals as hard headed as Lilith, even if it meant their death, they still would not agree to do something they did not like. So she decided to play her second set of cards, feeling confident that Lilith would not reject the offer after hearing it.
"Our mission," Alia began, gaining Lilith interest, "is to find evidence and eventually arrest politician Carlos Otero, who we suspect has committed in corruption and murder amongst other crimes."
"Carlos Otero?" Lilith repeated, her mouth slightly dropping. How was it that Alia's mission was the same as her own? Well Alia wanted to arrest him whereas Lilith wanted to kill him, but both technically involved bringing him down.
"Yes, Carlos Otero who is running for state president in the upcoming elections," Alia confirmed, feeling confident that she had Lilith on board now. She had been preparing for the downfall of Carlos Otero her whole life and she was finally one step closer with Lilith on board. She just needed to put her plan into motion now.
Without even having to think about it, Lilith agreed, "I'm in!"
Although the outcomes the two had planned for Carlos was different, that didn't mean that Lilith didn't have to use Alia and her special operations team to get closer to him. She would use them until she got to him and then she would part her ways and get rid of him once and for all.
"Nice to have you on board," Alia grinned as she stood up and began to undo Lilith's constraints. "Also," she began, her hot breath tickling Lilith's ear, "don't be too upset about losing to me. I'm Fen Luo's first apprentice and your senior sister."
