The Queen of Rogues

Hunters!

As Xavier runs back to his pack, he feels the arrow hitting him, he knows it is not one of his mate's and her wolves' arrows. This one hurts and he can feel the wolfsbane entering his body.

"Hunters!" He thinks as he tries to run away to his border and gets close to his guards, he mind-links his pack, but he is weakened by the wolfsbane and he knows he can not reach his pack, he is week as he feels a bullet hit him in the shoulder and he knows it is silver. He falls and tried to get up, but soon he is surrounded by the hunters.

"Well, well, well, look who we have here, the big bad wolf himself! Xavier Scott!" The hunter says as soon as Xavier shifts to his human form he pulls the arrow out of his leg and it hurts like hell.  Xavier knows this hunter they have encountered each other before and Xavier has killed his brother, the hunter who killed Xavier's father.

"Vince Shaw! I will kill you as I did, your brother!" Vince kicks Xavier and throws some pants to him to get dressed.

"You are in no position to threaten me! Tonight I will kill you!" Vince screams at Xavier.

"Then go ahead and kill me, Vince," Xavier says, but Vince looks at him and smiles coldly.

"I am going to make you suffer first, torture you like you tortured my brother." He cuffs Xavier with silver cuffs and starts dragging him to an SUV.

Amara feels the pain of the wolfsbane and the bullet that hit Xavier.

"Our mate is in danger! We need to help him, or he will die tonight." Her wolf says.

Amara stops and changes to her human form the cape still covering her. She goes behind a tree and grabs some clothes out of the backpack she was carrying with her.

"Alpha?" Steward walks to her he and the whole pack stopped with her and got dressed as well.

"I think hunters got Xavier Scott," Amara says, not sure if she must help him or not.

"You know if your mate dies, your wolf will never be the same again and if you do not have anything else to live for like children or someone you feel a strong bond with, you will eventually die as well." Steward explains to her, he does not want his Alpha to become weak and moaning her mate.

'Dammit let's go save his ass then."

Amara turns around and gets into the trees, she follows the smell of her mate and her warriors follows the rest of the pack stays behind with Sheila. They move quietly and fast, soon Amara sees the hunters trying to drag Xavier to an SUV nearby. Although he is founded he is still putting up a fight and the Hunter brings out a silver knife before he could strike, an arrow hits the hunter in his back. Then all hell breaks loose. Arrows are flying at the hunters and Vince knows who is attacking he hurt about the legend of the Queen of Rogues.

"Queen of Rogue, I thought you are fighting the Blood Moon Pack? Why do you interfere with my business? I only want to rid you of the Blood Moon Pack's Alpha."

"Let him go, hunter! He is still one of my kind! Even though I fight with him and his pack! You have five seconds to release him or I will kill you and all you hunters."

"Where are you Rogue Queen, I don't see you or your wolves, are you too afraid to fight us fairly?"

"Ha! Like you fought the Blood Moon Alpha fairly? You have no shame hunter, you got 3 seconds left to let him go!"

Vince looks around he can see no wolves, he knows they must be in human form but he can see nothing. He needs to get his men to safety.

"Run to the truck, hide behind it!" Shouts at the men that are still standing and not laying on the ground fast asleep, he knows she uses, sleeping arrows. His men hide behind the truck and he tries to stab Xavier who is now really weak from the silver and the wolfsbane in his blood before he can do that he sees his men behind the truck going down one after the other. He must kill Xavier Scott before the Queen of Rogues gets him as well. He lifts the knife and aims at Xavier's heart. Xavier tries to grab his hand to keep him from stabbing him in his heart, Xavier falls back against a tree and leans against the tree, he is getting weaker by the moment the silver bullet in his shoulder is spreading its poison fast and the wolfsbane in his blood is not helping either. The next moment a big black wolf jumps as Vince and bits his hand that is holding the silver knife. The hunters are strong, they do have enhanced powers. He tries to hit the black wolf in front of him but his hand is in pain. He tries to free his hand but the black wolf keeps biting harder. He feels his hand ripped off. He kicks the black wolf away from him and with his other hand reach for the pistol in his holster. It is filled with silver bullets. Vince takes aim but not at the black wolf in front of him that he kicked away and that was getting back up. He aims at Xavier Scott if he must die he will take Xavier with him! He killed his brother and he wants to avenge his brother. He aims and the bullet is heading straight for Xavier Scott's heart, before the bullet can hit him the black wolf jumps and grab Xavier by his pant rolling at the same time, moving him out of the way of the bullet. The bullet hits the tree that was behind Xavier, he was leaning against.

Amara covers Xavier's body with her wolf, her warriors have surrounded the hunter and are aiming their arrows at him, some have shifted to their wolves, others are busy tying up the other hunters that are still out cold. Amara gets up from Xavier and looks at the hunter who has dropped to his knees, his gun has fallen to the ground. There is an arrow in his hand that held the gun. He is looking at the other hand that has been ripped off. Vince is in pain and he lost a lot of blood.

"I had him, I had the bastard that killed my brother and you came and interfered, Queen of Rogues!" Vince is still mad although he is weak and on his knees. Amara goes behind a tree and Steward hands her, her backpack. She shifts and gets dressed putting on her mask again. She walks over to the hunter and kicks him so he sits on his bum.

"Never kneel in front of me, you look pathetic and like the coward you are!"

"I hate you, Queen of Rogues!"

"Yeah no s**t, I would hate me too if I were you."

"He killed my brother. I just wanted to avenge my brother."

"I know Xavier Scott and although he is an asshole, I know he doesn't kill without a reason. What did your brother do?"

"He killed that bastard of a father of Xavier, but he was paid to do it!"

"Who paid him?"

"Markus Black."

Amara looks at the hunter in front of her, she knows Markus Black he was the Alpha from the Golden Moon Pack. He was a friend of her parents, but why would he kill Sean Scott? Sean was a hero to the wolves in the south, he fought the vampires and drove the bloodsuckers out of the south. He fought the dark witches and drove them out of the south, he even kept the peace among the packs in the south. Why would Markus Black, put a hit out on Sean Scoot, Xavier's father? Markus Black and his son's left their pack just like that after the war with the vampires and witches. No one has seen them again. The Blood Moon Pack took them in and is still watching over the Golden Moon Pack.

"Why did he want Sean Scott dead?"

"Why do you think? Sean Scott killed his mate that was a vampire. He will kill all of you Queen of Rogues, he and his sons that are half vampires and half werewolves, Sean was planning on killing them first. The Blacks are strong, they are hybrids, but that son of a b***h over there is still too strong for them and I almost had him!"

"So you are also working for Markus Black and his sons?"

"All hunters are."

"Interesting, so this is why the hunters are attacking us all the time." Amara looks at the hunter in front of her.

"Yes but they want you alive, you see Black's sons, are hybrids and a hybrid can choose his mate. Markus oldest son, Zane Black has chosen you as his mate. Zane wants the Queen of Rogues as his mate and he will do everything to catch you."

"Ha, I will never be his mate! He is half a bloodsucker!"

Amelia walks over to the hunter and she picks up his gun. She aims it at his head and pulls the trigger, she looks as he falls at her feet dead. She doesn't like to kill anyone, but the hunter was going to die anyway and he knew too much about her whereabouts. She could not let him talk and knowing he is working for Markus Black and his hybrid sons she can not take the chance.

"Tie the other hunters up. We will hand them to the Blood Moon Pack."

"Alpha, what do we do with him?" Steward asks pointing to Xavier. He looks weak and pale. She feels his pain and knows the silver is hurting him.

"Get the bullet out. As soon as the bullet is out he will get stronger again." Steward walks over to Xavier and looks at his shoulder, is still bleeding.

"Alpha we don't have the means to help him, we need to get him to a doctor."

"He is a bloody pain in my ass!" Amara shouts but still, she orders her warriors to go hand over the hunters to the Blood Moon Pack she then walks over to the weak-looking Xavier.

"Wake up! She slaps him lightly on his cheek." Xavier wakes up and looks at the masked woman standing in front of him, he smells her and he knows it is his mate, so she came to safe him. He smiles weakly at her.

"You saved me, I knew you could not leave me to die, babe."

"Shut up!! Can you walk?"

Xavier gets up but stumbles and Amara grabs him around his waist, supporting him. He smiles but he is very pale. She helps him to their old pickup and loads him in front with her. Xavier passes out again his head falls on Amara's shoulder, she looks at his black hair that is a mess. She can not help but feel the warmth where he is touching her. f**k! She needs to get rid of him fast. She drives to the nearest town and stops in front of the hospital.

"Help your Alpha, hunters got to him." She orders the doctor and nurses that is standing there, looking at the masked she-wolf. They know she is the Queen of Rogues.

"Yes Luna, as you command." One of the doctors says.

"I am not your bloody Luna, I don't care what this bastard told all the packs! Don't call me Luna!"

The doctor just looks at her and helps his alpha to the nearest room, he takes the bullet out. Amara runs to her pickup and drives off. Back to her pack.

"Tell our Luna we thank her for catching the hunters." One of the wolves tells Steward as he hands then the hunters over to them.

"Somehow I don't think our Alpha would like you to call her Luna." Steward laughs, he knows these guards, they normally hand them the hunter they catch and the guards were never aggressive towards them, she got rewards from catching the hunters and they always split it with Steward.

 Xavier wakes up and he feels himself healing again the bullet is out of his system. He mind-links he's brother to come and pick him up. She saved him, his beautiful Luna, he takes the photo out of his pocket staring at her smiling face. He knows she cares about him, he somehow knew that when she feels his pain she would come and help him. He sighs if only she would come home to him and not be so bloody stubborn.
