"I don't think you understand," Jade stood up, her face looked panicked, as if she never expected it to happen. That annoyed him a little.
"What do I have to understand? I've already said what I had to," he said, adjusting his coat, hinting that his patience was running thin.
"B-but everything is set. You have to own up to the words, you can't just back off after what your dad had promised us," she said, leaning in. She slammed her hands on the table.
He broke into a smile with utter amusement.
"There's answer in your own words," Axel stated it like it was obvious. "My.. father promised all of these things to you. The reason? I have no idea. But I'm not bound to follow whatever my dad says on behalf of me. Because he has no hold over me."
He said, making Jade's expression tur
