"What are you saying? Go away, how could you even think about doing that with someone else?" Ezra said, her restless eyes moving across his face. He clenched his jaw, he got too swayed in his anger.
It was the outcome of being a part of a couple where neither of them backs down. Axel backed off, knowing he just had to follow through what Ezra was telling him to do because that's the only practical way they could get out of this mess.
"I.. hired her. But I didn't pay her for having s*x with me," he said, rubbing his forehead. "She's probably gone by now."
