The cottage was far more modern than Rachel gave it credit for; there was running water and workable plumbing, along with up-to-date appliances in the kitchen. Nothing too fancy, but it was more like a motel than a shack. “And here is the living area,” Cara said. Her hair was slightly damp from the mad dash they’d done to get indoors, and her shirt had several large wet spots, which distracted Rachel mercilessly while Cara acted the consummate host.
