It's been five years...five long years since I made the decision to leave everyone and everything I love behind in my hometown of Cameron, North Carolina and move to the bright lights of the big city which never sleeps, New York City, specifically Manhattan.
I never liked being a small-town boy and I always felt like a big fish in a little pond.
I always wanted something bigger and better out of life, I didn't know exactly what that was at the time but I knew for a fact that I didn't want to live the rest of my life in North Carolina and I certainly didn't want to die there.
Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with Cameron or North Carolina, nothing at all, it's a beautiful town and city, it's just me, I wanted bigger and more exciting things out of li
