Norman turned off the live set in the hope that things would get better tomorrow.
Unfortunately, it didn't.
Several people clicked in, and as soon as they saw Norman's masked face, they started making fun of him
Those people thought Norman's behavior was a marketing ploy, trying to be cool.
Anyway, no one gave him a positive comment.
At first, Norman was angry, but when he got used to it, he didn't bother to care these people.
After another day of live streaming, the number of followers didn't increase, and Emma was the only one following him.
On the third day, someone began to wonder about his hidden face.
"Is he ugly? "
This question awakened those who came to watch him.
"He must be a horrible-looking person. If he's good-looking, why would he cover his face?"
"Did he do something bad and be disfigured by his enemies?"
"What is wrong with these people? " Norman scolded secretly in his heart.
He was now a handsome young man, but these people suspected him of being ugly. This really annoyed him!
However, he had to put up with it.
He couldn't explain it, because once he did it, the consequences would be out of control.
After seeing her boyfriend being judged by a group of vulgar fans, Emma started a war of words with them on Norman's live set.
She was determined to stand up for her boyfriend.
But no matter how powerful she was, she fought alone and, in the end, she was overwhelmed by those people’s malicious remarks.
Emma arrived at Norman's apartment.
"It's not the way to go. You have to have something to hold people back."
Emma stared at Norman for a long time. When it came to special skills, Norman's greatest skill was his face.
But now that he couldn't show his face, which generated no fame for Norman, and scared off fans.
"Why don't you try singing? Emma suggested, "Are you good at singing?"
If he was good at anything in his previous life, besides idling about, he only had singing.
"Not bad, I guess." Norman wasn't sure.
He had never heard a song in this world, and he was not sure he could learn it.
"Have a try!"
Anyway, things couldn't get any worse than they were now.
Norman nodded.
When he found the direction he could work on, he became busy again with Emma.
She found Norman a song that was relatively easy to sing.
"Try this song tomorrow, and I'll be there to cheer you on."
Emma smiled as she handed Norman a song called "We Could Be Anything" by Jay Ollero.
Norman took a look.
Oh no, he never heard of it.
He frowned in embarrassment.
"What's wrong?" Emma asked with concern.
"I'm kind of new to this. I don't remember hearing this."
Emma was afraid that he would be embarrassed, so she picked up a song that everyone knew well. But Norman still hadn't heard of it.
"Never mind. This song is easy to learn. I'll play it for you."
Norman agreed and he still had time to practice.
“Every day, friends and lovers go like flowers
Make mistakes, and one day I was living it down
Life's a game, a journey for us inside out
No doubt, no doubt
But down the road you're bound to take a different route
But where it goes nobody really knows
I found, in the end, it always comes back around
Somehow, somehow
But I don't know why it has to be
So black and white for you and me
When there's a million colors in between
And we could be anything”
The song was easy to learn, and after he had listened to it a few times, he thought he was almost done.
The next day, Emma set up the studio music for him, and Norman's debut began.
His live set was much better than a few days ago.
Oops!
Norman started singing out of tune in the second line.
After he couldn't find the key for a single lyric, he couldn't find the key for the whole song.
His first song was quite a flop! Emma beckoned him to stop singing.
The comment section was suddenly alive with people talking about how bad his singing was.
He was more ashamed than ever.
"My three-year-old son can sing better than you."
"Ugly people haunted!"
"Seems you have no self-knowledge. "
"He's going to kill me!"
"I can't stand it!"
The comment bar was still scrolling and he could no longer read it.
He turned off the live set.
"Don't be discouraged. This is your first try. It doesn't matter if you mess up." Emma patted his shoulder. "That’s the way of it. We still have a chance. We'll get better next time."
He got off to a bad start, which put a damper on Norman's enthusiasm for the show.
"Do you think I'm not fit for this?" Norman began to question himself.
"It always works out in the end. I did the same thing when I first started live." Emma held his hand and encouraged him, "Just try again!"
Norman wanted to say no, but seeing Emma's sincerity, He swallowed his tongue back.
This time, Emma told him to find the songs on his own.
He chose a song he thought he could sing well.
When everything was ready, he turned it back on.
When someone entered his live set, he cleared his throat and began to sing.
He wasn't out of tune this time, he just got the lyrics mixed up.
Inevitably, another taunt came from the audience.
Norman's face was getting worse and worse.
He could not bear it anymore.
The songs of this world were so hard for him.
What the hell was this!
"Get out of the live streaming circle!"
"You are not welcome here!"
"It's really a disgrace to live broadcast like this!"
"You suck!"
Norman decided to slog his guts out for it.
He started singing Charlie Puth's The Way I Am.
"Maybe I get a little anxious
Maybe I get a little shy
Cause everybody's trying to be famous
And I'm just trying to find a place to hide
All I wanna do is just hold somebody
But no one ever wants to get to know somebody
I don't even know how to explain this
I don't even think I'm gonna try"
