"Norman, it doesn't matter that you can't make money. I can keep you!" Said a fat girl sitting opposite Norman. She didn't mind the fact that the meat in her mouth hadn't fully swallowed, for fear that if she spoke a few seconds later, Norman would be snatched away.
Several other female students also offered to keep Norman.
Rachel also wanted to keep Norman, and her family's financial resources would allow her to do so. But she was afraid that Norman's pride would be hurt and she dared not say such a thing.
She decided to see Norman's reaction first. If he did not object to being kept, she could whisper to him when no one was in private.
While the girls were gossiping about keeping Norman, the boys were watching the funny scene with sneers.
Norman was so angry that he didn't want to stay any longer.
This was not a class reunion but a drama scene.
Norman did not want to give his classmates another chance to taunt him. He emptied his glass.
"Guys, I'm sorry, I have to go."
"Honey, why are you leaving when I just got here!"
At the sound, Norman staggered and nearly fell.
Why was she here?
No, he should be glad that she was finally here!
What a surprise!
The moment he saw Emma, Norman felt the urge to cry.
Emma strolled over, her flaming red dress clinging to her body, accentuated her delicate figure.
She looked fantastic—smart, sassy, sexy—exactly the right look for a wealthy modern girl in the city.
It was the turn of the boys present to be dumbfounded.
Some boys who couldn’t resist the charm directly had nosebleeds.
Emma went straight to Norman and gave him a big hug.
"Hi, guys, I’m Emma, Norman’s girlfriend." Emma greeted Norman's classmates with a bright smile.
"Hello! " A lot of guys responded to her.
The girls were very disdainful when they saw the look in the boys' eyes.
Had they never seen a beautiful woman in their life?
The girls were indignant.
Emma took Norman's hand and led him back to his seat. She also found a chair and sat next to Norman.
"I just heard you guys talk about keeping my boyfriend?"
What a shame these people were!
When Emma was away from Norman, all kinds of girls would swarm around him, trying to undermine her.
At first, she didn't believe the hotel attendant who called her to tell her that Norman was being bullied.
As soon as she got to the door, she heard a gaggle of women arguing about who should be allowed to keep Norman.
Emma was so furious.
Those girls who just said they were keeping Norman were a little embarrassed. After all, his real girlfriend was here.
Rachel may be a little qualified to compete with Emma. The others were average-looking people and lost in momentum.
"No, it’s just kidding."
"It's just a joke."
"Yeah, we're doing it for Norman's own good."
Emma glanced at the scattered car keys on the table and guessed something.
She took her Ferrari keys out of her bag and laid them randomly on the table.
Someone even gasped at the sight of the car keys.
Not everyone could afford to drive a Ferrari. This girl was really something.
"Speaking of keeping him, I begged Norman for a compromise, but I couldn't change his mind!"
The implication was that since a rich and beautiful girl like her had been unable to keep him, these people with modest qualifications could put an end to their wishful thinking sooner.
The boys were now devoured by envy and hatred. And the girls were feeling the same way.
How did this girl get Norman to like her? Rachel, more than anyone, wanted to know why.
She's had a crush on Norman since high school.
Just by catching a glimpse of him in the crowd, she was so attracted by his pretty face that she couldn't help herself.
She was so young that she didn't have the courage to confess.
Now God had given her another chance and arranged for her to meet Norman again, but all the possibilities between them were now ruined by this woman named Emma.
The party was really up and down.
When he was in trouble, it was Emma who saved him again, and he felt much better.
At the end of the party, Carl volunteered to pay the bill to show he was doing well.
"No, since you went to school with Norman, you are my friends. Waiter! Put the meal on my bill."
Emma stopped Carl and said, "This hotel is sort of our family property. I can't expect you to treat when you're in my place."
If Emma didn't say this, Norman would almost forget that this hotel was also the property funded by The Stewarts Group.
Someone must have snitched on Emma today. No wonder she showed up in time.
Carl smiled shyly, not knowing what to say.
He tried to show off, but Emma’s words left him eggs on his face.
The party was over and everyone went downstairs.
Flaming red Ferrari parked in front of the hotel. The color stung many people's eyes.
With everyone watching, Emma took Norman's arm and got into the car, and drove away.
They did not recover until the fiery red had melted away into the blackness of the night.
Everyone looked at each other, not knowing what to say.
The class left one by one, except for Rachel.
Rachel stood there for a long time, staring in the direction of the disappearing car. She couldn't reconcile herself.
She was supposed to be Norman's girlfriend!
She had had a crush on him since high school, and her love for him had never changed
Why was that?
Her qualifications were slightly inferior to Emma's, but she loved and cared for Norman no less than anyone else's.
She was determined to make the most of it. It would be a coward to give up without a fight.
Rachel subconsciously clenched her fists and vowed to get Norman back!
