I stepped off of the limo, the night looking dark because of the huge building up in front of us. People were dancing, singing, and most importantly, eating. Maria squealed for like the millionth time past twelve and tried to run up the stairs. Her mask covered her face, concealing her identity. Mine was not a covering mask. Mine just covered slivers of my face. I walked up the staircase, following her and smiling throughout, watching the people on the balconies of the building dance and make conversation. When I stepped into the room I immediately smelled so many scents that I lost Maria. I couldn't hear anyone in particular, so I tried to find someone through the dancing figures. I found Aunt Caroline and Uncle Austin dancing, laughing as one made a funny joke. Dancing beside them w
