A narrow tunnel led to the next room. It was exactly like the grand hall which they had just crossed, with one noticeable difference. The floor was made up of old wooden planks hammered down with nails. Everything else from the cracked pillars, the dusty walls and the cobwebs hanging from the ceiling was exactly as they had seen before.
In the center of the room was bright floating orb which was emitting a yellow light. Jake had played enough dungeon crawlers to know that he had to obtain the orb to venture further inside the crypt. However, the games had also taught him one other thing. There was always a catch. He halted for a while to survey his surroundings. Nothing seemed to be out of place for the moment, but he had a hunch that obtaining that orb wasn’t going to be so easy.
