Alice nodded agreement.
“OK, I understand,” replied Dave slowly as if he were weighing up his alternatives, “so what if I ask you both to come? I will pay for everything and we still pay you the same as if you are working here. What you say?”
“How long?” asked Alice.
“I don’t know. Three days, a week, three weeks, a month. I don’t know. Up to everyone, up to people.”
“OK,” replied the cousins at once looking at each other across Dave’s chest.
They kissed him again.
“When?”
“I don’t know yet, we must all talk together first, but soon… after two three days, maybe… but you can tell your Mamas you are going home for a holiday to see them soon. I can promise you that. I will feel safe with you two taking care of me, we’ve been friends a while, haven’t we, babes?”
