Over dinner, Peter thought about Scott, or rather, what little he knew of the guy. In the five years he’d known Jonathan, he could count the number of times he’d met Scott on one hand and probably have fingers left over. Preppy, athletic, handsome…Scott was all those things and more. Not to mention totally wrong for Jonathan, Peter added, if only to himself. What did the dude have that he didn’t? Besides Jonathan, of course. Part of him wanted to point out that he’d pegged Scott as a cheater all along, but that would seem petty. Better to just step in and pick up the pieces, right? But why didn’t Jonathan mention anything earlier, like when he’d kicked Scott out in the first place?
