The night was progressing relatively on schedule. Mayor Hills campaign manager, Carl Isenberg, got on stage to make opening remarks.
“Thank you everyone for joining us on this joyous occasion,” Carl bellowed as he continued. “I am honored to be in front of such beautiful and well-dressed distinguished guests… Oh my God, I’ve never seen so many beautiful people, so please thank your plastic surgeons for me, really, please do,” he chuckled as a chorus of laughter and boos were heard across the ballroom.
