I felt like I was having an out-of-body experience. The events of the morning were a blur and I figured if the photographers and videographers didn’t chronicle all the events that morning, I would not have believed it happened. I woke up at 6 am to a knock on my bedroom door. To my surprise, it was my friend Jackie. She was a doctor working with Doctors without Borders and the last I heard, she couldn’t make it to the wedding from her location in northern Africa. I was so happy to have her here, but before I could process and catch up with my friend, I was ushered to hair and make-up when Almondo and his team of stylists arrived shortly after.
