CHAPTER FOURZarina stayed in the Chapel for some time.
As she was leaving, she thought that she would now go to see Mrs. Blossom as she had promised.
It would obviously take a good long time for the people in the Great Hall to show their bills and to have cheques made out to them.
She had not gone very far, when she saw two men coming towards her.
She recognised one as the man who had made the initial disturbance in the Great Hall.
He had, it would seem, as he was obviously very pushy, been paid first.
He was a coarse-looking man, but flashily dressed.
He had what she thought was a deceitful face that no one could trust.
She was just about to pass them when they blocked her way.
“We’ve bin lookin’ for you, Miss Bryden,” the flashy man said.
Zarina raised her eyebrows.
“For me?”
