The revelation of Elara having an affair despite already having a mate was enough to silence the hall. The hall which was once filled with the sounds of clinking utensils and shuffling feet, fell eerily silent. All eyes turned towards Elara, who stood frozen at the center of the room, her face a mixture of shock and disbelief. She had even gone paler than a white sheet.
I almost felt sorry for her but then again, she brought it upon herself. She was always used to making everyone around her feel insignificant and to top it off, she had insulted my father and I wouldn't take it sitting down. She deserved it. My father was not a r****t and he was accused wrongly but that didn't mean I would sit back and watch anyone taint his reputation in front of me without putting up a fight. S
