The darkness surrounding me was unlike anything I had ever witness. It was dark, and groggy, with a stench that made me want to throw up. I looked around fervently, wondering where I was and what exactly I was doing there. But nothing came back to me. I must have been lost, so lost to have found myself in a place as dark as my heart was. Literally. I tried to move for the very first time since I found myself in that situation, but I couldn't. It was as if I had been tied tightly to a tree, and couldn't possibly move an inch no matter how hard I tried. I struggled to move again, but I felt as though I was being held back by something very heavy. My throat was tight, so tight that I felt the air going through it wasn't enough. It was as if it was clamped with all the emotions I was feeling.
