Chapter Six “Hey!” Cheryl greeted Marie cheerfully. “I missed you at lunch, but I got your message that you wanted to meet me for dinner. Why here, though?” She looked around at the half-empty diner. It was open until ten, but did most of its business before seven. It was seven-thirty now. “Have a seat,” Marie smiled. Cheryl c****d her head and looked at her friend more closely. A man would have missed everything that Marie said with that smile, but Cheryl did not. “Oh. My. God,” Cheryl said as she sat down opposite Marie. Her voice fell to a whisper. “He f****d you, didn’t he?” “Oh, he did more than that,” Marie grinned even as she felt her face redden. “He was in my apartment for hours last night.
