13 As the car turned into the drive of the Pembroke estate, Celia clenched her shaking hands together. She was going to find Carter and tell him she wasn’t marrying Callum. Then she was going to kiss him, make him forget why he’d ever left her, and only then, when he was good and seduced by her kiss, would she tell him that they could make this work. They’d find a way. Whatever it took, she would do it. He was worth it. They were worth it.
