Miles recoiled at the sight. “We should get back in the car, Myrtle. This is clearly a crime scene.” He looked behind him nervously. “And the perpetrator might still be around.” “Unlikely! Who’s going to kill someone and then hang around?” Miles looked unhappy. “A psychopath.” “Well, they’ll have us to contend with. Do go ahead and call Red, though, Miles. You and I will protect the crime scene until he can make it over.” Miles sighed as Myrtle used the light from her cell phone to illuminate the inside of the truck. “Red?” he asked after dialing. “Um, how are you?” he asked, unable to prevent himself from pleasantries.
