Eddie managed to wake up in time to make it to work on Monday morning. He got a few questions from the other guys about his scrapes and bruises, and some teasing when he told them they were the result of stupidly dumping his bike trying to make a light on the way home the previous evening. Despite the lack of sleep, he was able to do his job without screwing up—a plus as far as he was concerned. Minutes after he got home his phone rang.
