“Wow! You sure are tall!”
As Hugh comes to stand beside Rebecca, Krista gazes up at the woman who stands nearly a half foot or so taller than her with a curious expression. “And so elegant! I never would have guessed this one. But the universe works in mysterious ways. I can’t wait to find out more about you over lunch.”
A measure of consolation flows through Hugh when he realizes Rebecca appears to be as taken aback by Krista’s aggressive friendliness as he was when they first met.
