As soon as I heard those wonderful words leave her mouth, there was no stopping my lips from curving up to form a wide smile. It was good news I hadn’t expected to hear so soon, and I couldn’t help but to feel happy about it.
I could tell Katerina was also happy, but I could see the sadness lingering in her unique eyes. It totally explained why she’d been crying, and why she was so distracted during the training session.
Knowing it wasn’t the right time to push for anything, I simply kept my arms wrapped around her and mumbled, “I know this can’t be easy for you. If there is anything I can do to help, please don’t hesitate to let me know.”
