Fateful meeting

971 Words
My emotions threatened to come out to the surface at any moment. The question I kept repeating in my mind was starting to get on my nerves. What the hell was with that brooch and the story behind all that… last but not least was the last sentence that woman said about finding my father…where he is and how I was supposed to find him. As I walked and, little by little, approached the throne room, I wondered if all this would ever end and if there would ever be a happy ending waiting for me. I entered the room with my head held high and a smile. The throne room still looked as impressive as I remembered it as a child, decorated with moonflowers, sometimes called the queen of the night. The interior looked beautiful. The coat of arms representing the kingdom was hung and shined in the moonlight that was getting through the windows. It was stunning. The Moon kingdom coat of arms is inlaid with gold and silver threads and is a moon surrounded by two phoenixes, one white as snow and the other black as night. The two phoenixes looked like the guardians of the moon. I kept walking until I stood before the queen's throne, my aunt. I bowed and greeted her. "Good meeting, Your Majesty" "Good meeting Lucille, she replied, looking at me." I looked at her and took my place. I had the feeling that if someone threw the slightest spark at that moment, the hall could explode into flames, the tension was obvious, everyone was tense. Elisora was restless for some reason, doing somersaults in my mind. "What's going on, Elisora ?" I asked her. Her answer shocked and delighted me at the same time. "He is nearby, our mate is nearby, she answered." "Seriously," I asked her. "Yes, he is close by” she answered enthusiastically. My mate had to show up now at the worst moment possible. I sighed. What I’m going to do right now, I asked myself… My thoughts were interrupted by my loving aunt. If a gaze could kill, she would have done it without remorse and with a smile on her face. "Since we are all here, we can start the meeting" She nodded to the guard to start. The trumpets started playing and the introduction began. I present to you King Nicholas, the ruler of the Kingdom of the Four Elements, and his sons, Prince Roland and Prince Gabriel. The three of them entered the hall, radiating strength and pride, their presence all-consuming. As they walked towards us slowly, I took the opportunity to examine them in detail. My first impression of King Nicholas was not impressive, he was a medium-sized man with black hair ... Then I stared at his features, and noticed his eyes were sapphire blue radiating strength, pride, wisdom, and something else which was hidden deep within him…while I was thinking my phoenix answered my question. "The thing you see in his eyes is sorrow, deep, consuming sorrow. “But what is the reason behind his sorrow”, before I got my answer my attention was drawn to his two sons. Roland had raven-black hair and was broad-shouldered. I didn't like his gaze, he looked at me as if I were a piece of meat and his eyes radiated meanness and malice. Unfortunately, he was my fiancé chosen by my aunt. Thinking about what life would be like in the future, my attention was suddenly drawn to an all-consuming smell that attracted me ... "This is our mate." Elisora answered my silent question. When I met his gaze, I felt thousands of sparks pass through my body. I was captivated by his gaze for a moment. I felt like it was just the two of us ... in the throne room, the others did not exist. Elisora went mad with joy and shouted in my head like crazy, "This is our soulmate chosen by the goddess of the moon for us. We finally met him." His gaze aroused feelings unknown to me until that moment. His gaze was full of passion so searing that it made my body tremble. Oh God, I exclaimed in my thoughts. I wanted him ... the moment I thought about him, I felt myself start to blush. Gabriel instantly noticed my blush and a devilish smile appeared on his face as if he had read my thoughts. My dear phoenix, Elisora, suddenly burst out laughing and even tears came out of her eyes. “Stop laughing at me, I'll talk to you later, young lady," I scolded her, and she started laughing even more. "I'm sorry Lucille, but you blushed like a tomato. Oh I'll burst out laughing lol” As Elisora continued to laugh incessantly, I continued to stare at Gabriel in amazement, he was a beautiful sight ... he looked like one of the warriors who once defended the Lunar Kingdom ages ago. His hair was fiery red and his mesmerizing eyes were crystal blue. I had this strange feeling that if I stared too much into his eyes I would drown. I wanted to cuddle in his arms and feel the warmth of his body ...? As I watched him, his smile became more and more dazzling, but then something happened to his eyes. I blinked and then they were fiery red. What was he...? .......................... Suddenly, his eyes darkened and the joy in his eyes disappeared as if it had never appeared on his face. I wondered why his expression changed. After a minute it became clear to me, my hearing caught a slight cough, it was Roland ... at that moment my heart broke into a million pieces. I understood why his expression changed, our destiny was not in our hands…
