Ethan could feel his mate's sadness as he started the Hummer. He had never felt more ashamed of his small town as he did at this moment. For people he had known his entire life to turn on Day, because of rumors, was more than disappointing, it was heart breaking.
"Daytona! Daytona! Wait!"
Ethan turned to see Candace running towards their vehicle, waiving her hands frantically.
Day rolled down Ethan's window, asking, "What is it, Candace?"
Breathing heavily, Candace took a moment. "Day, please don't go. Not all of us believe the rumors in town. You have more right to be here than most of the people down there. Please, Henry spoke so highly about you and he would want you here."
