Hughes opened his eyes with the vibration of his phone under his pillow. He frantically opened his eyes as he picked it up. The weariness in his two deep-set eyes was noticeable. He just returned from Zambales for his short visit to Manila that sometimes he did for a few months to be with his parents. Hughes was still tired, which could notice in his sleepy and weary eyes. He immediately got out of his bed as scratched his head and neck several times before answering the call. His forehead wrinkled as he is disturbed.
“Hello?” after a moment, he answered in a hoarse and sleepy voice.
“Hughes, are you already here in Manila?” it was the cheerful voice of Andrius on the other line that made Hughes’s sleepy eyes widened open as he is not expecting his call as early as this morning.
