Two twins and One damaged mate

Chapter 7: Nightmare

-Elijah P.O.V.-

“Bro.” I whisper/yell at Aiden.

I was awoken not too long ago from hearing my mate whimper. My wolf then told me that she is having a nightmare. So, I shot up and am now trying to wake Aiden up. He finally stirs and f**k it. I know what will wake him up.

“Our mate needs us.” I tell him in my normal voice.

Aiden shoots up and I have to back up quickly or he would have hit me. He looks at me and I nod towards our mate’s room.

“What is going on?” He asks.

“Skylar is having a nightmare and we need to go over and lay a hand on her cheek or shoulder to bring her back. Mom told me about all this earlier.”

Aiden then nods and climbs out of bed. We walk across the hall and quietly enter our mate’s room. She is there on the bed and she is thrashing around in her sleep. Just as we reach the end of the bed, she whimpers.

“Please… stop. Elijah… Aiden... help me...”

Aiden and I look at each other and then we go on either side of her. We end up climbing in the bed because she has a king sized bed and she is laying directly in the middle. We both climb on and then I touch her right cheek while Aiden touches her left. Just then she shoots up looking around frantically.

-Skylar P.O.V.-

All of a sudden, I feel warmth on my cheeks causing me to jolt out of my nightmare. I sit up fast, and I look around frantically because the dream felt too real. I look to my right and left to see my mates looking at me with worried eyes. I almost freak out before Moon reminds me that their touch brought me out of my nightmare. Aiden’s voice then pulls me out of the mini panic attack I was having.

“Are you okay? Do you need anything?” He asks me softly.

“Can you get me some water, please?” I ask him in almost a whisper.

He just climbs off the bed and walks out of my room making me look confused. Elijah then turns on my bedside lamp. I look over at him.

“He went to get you some water from the kitchen. Sorry he is so worried about you that he forgot to inform you what he was doing.” Elijah says, chuckling a little bit.

I instantly feel a calmness spread through my body from hearing him chuckle. I look over to see him standing beside the bed.

“You can sit up here.” I tell him shyly.

He smiles then nods. He climbs into the bed and sits next to me, but he keeps his distance. I smile at the thought of him keeping me in his thoughts. Just then Aiden enters with a water bottle along with some snacks.

“You skipped dinner and I know you must be feeling a little hungry, so I brought snacks and some water. Also, some soda.” He comes over and sets the tray onto the bed. He then sits on the bed pushing the tray towards me.

“Thank you.” I say while I look over at him with a blush spreading on my cheeks.

“You are welcome. Now would you like us to leave or would you like us to stay?” He asks me in such a smooth but calm voice.

I swear I could drown in their voices all day long and it does something to my insides, as well.

“I would like it if you both stayed. I know I don’t know you both and I went through a lot, but I feel safe when you two are around me.” I decide to be honest with them along with me. Moon beams in my head.

Moon: THANK THE MOON GODDESS!!

Me: What are you on about?

Moon: You are letting yourself be open to the mate bond. The mate bond will heal you; you just have to trust it.

I know she is right, and I will have to work on what she is saying.

I then dive into the drive. It has cookies, chips, candy, and even some sandwiches. I look over at Aiden to see him scratching the back of his head.

“I just wanted to make sure you had some choices.” He says shyly.

I giggle a bit. “I love it. Thank you.”

He smiles at me. While Elijah clears his throat. “So, how about we move this over to the tv and we could watch a movie.”

I turn to him and nod at him. He sees the excitement in my eyes at the idea and we move over to my little living room. I pull up Disney plus as I want to watch something good. I love Disney movies and I haven’t been able to watch one in a while and I am so glad to finally be able to do it again. I look over to see my mates smiling at me.

After about 2 Disney movies later, I ended up eating most of the snacks and I drank most of the water, but all of the soda. Aiden ended up taking the tray back to the kitchen while I used the bathroom. I walked out to see my mate’s standing near my door. They smile at me before Elijah speaks.

“Well, I guess we should go back to our room, but if you end up having another nightmare we will be right over.”

They then turned on their heels to walk away. “Wait.” I spoke before I even thought about it. They turned back around and looked at me with an eyebrow raised.

“Please, stay. I don’t want to experience another nightmare again…. I can’t… This is asking of a lot, but I would like for you two to be in the bed with me.” I tell them shyly with my eyes looking down at my feet.

I feel nervous about asking, but I cannot go through another nightmare. It felt too real… I end up looking back up when I feel my mate’s footsteps. They are walking towards me but stop a few steps away from me.

“We will do whatever you ask of us.” Elijah says while Aiden nods in agreement. I smile at them.

I then turn on my heels and climb in the middle of the king-sized bed. Elijah and Aiden make their way over and then climb in. I have Elijah on my right side while Aiden is on my left. I lay down which makes them do the same. Moon whimpers in my head because she wants our mates to cuddle us.

Me: I am not sure if I am ready for that, Moon. I am sorry…

Moon: I know… it just hurts. I want them to touch us and not in a s****l way either. I just want the gentle touch because you need to know that not all men’s hands are rough. Just try for me, please.

I sigh deeply because I know she is right. I have gone so long without her in my head that hearing her and knowing she is there gives me a sense of strength I didn’t know I had in me. She pushes me to be my old self again. I miss my old self and I want to be carefree again… I then say the words that I never thought I would utter in my life.

“Could you two please cuddle me?... I just don’t want another nightmare. It was too real, and I can’t go through another one.” I plead with them.

I hear shuffling and then I feel Elijah turn me on my side to face him. I suck in a breath from how close and how it feels when he touches me, but I trust him. I then feel Aiden come and cuddle my back while Elijah moves in and our noses are touching. I feel like I am the sandwich meat with my mates being the bread. But then I feel a sense of calmness/something else. I cannot explain it, but it just makes me want to cry from the feeling. It is bringing me a sense of safeness that I thought I would never get again. I then arch my back making my backside press into Aiden while my face goes to Elijah’s chest. I then passed out.
