*** Mia’s POV ***

In Biology, time went slowly. I didn’t even know why I signed up for this. Oh yeah, mom wanted me to. I hoped I could make a minimum of a C out of it. I looked forward to math with Ryan though. I didn’t even know why, but I liked to hang out with him and the guys. They were really funny. Maybe I will invite them over to my house to hang out by the pool.

When the class was over, I grabbed my backpack happily and headed out of the classroom to find the guys by the lockers.

“Hey guys, do you want to hang out after school by our pool in the backyard?” I asked them excitedly when I reached them.

“You have a pool? Cool.” Tyler said.

“Of course we want to,” Dom said, and he moved to wrap his arms around my shoulder, but he changed his mind as soon as he noticed Ryan’s threatening look towards him.

“Okay Mia, let’s go to Math.” Ryan said and started to push me away from the twins.

“Hey, this is not fair, why don't I have any class with you, Mia?” Tyler whined and I let out a chuckle at him.

“I am sure we will have class together, this is just the second day of school, Tyler.” I tried to reassure him.

“You are right, let’s go, Dom,” he said, and they walked to the other direction.

“He is so silly,” I said with a huge smile. I was a bit jealous of their friendship. I wish I had just one friend who I could blindly trust in.

“Yes, they both are, but they are good friends.” He told me while we walked to our class.

“I am sure they are,” I said, and looked down at the ground. I became sad at the thought of Carly and Josh. They were my best friends and they betrayed me without remorse.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” He asked me when he noticed my change of mood.

“Nothing, it’s just.... I don’t really have good experience with friends.” I said sadly. “I will tell you about it another time, now let’s go.” I masked the sadness with a smile and dragged him towards the classroom before he could ask anything else. We walked into the classroom. No one was there yet, so we settled down in the back row next to each other.

“You know, Ryan.... I am glad that you apologised and you want to be friends with me. It’s a bit strange to say after just one day, but I like you and the guys, it’s like I can be myself around you.” I was a bit nervous, what if he would laugh at me ... When I didn’t get an answer, I looked at him to find him already looking at me. He was deep in thoughts.

“Hey, are you okay?” I asked him. He didn’t move, he just kept staring at me. Suddenly he broke out of his bubble and cleared his throat.

“Hmmm... Yeah-yeah, of course I am okay, I was just thinking. I am glad too, by the way, and I told you you would like them.” He said with a smile, but I saw some uncertainty in his eyes, but I didn’t ask him about it. If he had problems and he wanted me to know, he would tell me in his own time.

We were joking with each other when Mrs. Morris walked in and started the lesson.

Finally, it was lunch time, so I went to the cafeteria with Ryan side by side, laughing about everything. It was fun to hang out with him, the time was just flying in his presence and we always had something to talk about. We spotted the twins by their regular table.

“Uhmm... can I sit with you?” I asked Ryan a bit hesitantly.

“Of course Mia, is that even a question? I am sure the twins wouldn’t even let you sit anywhere else.” He said and laughed loudly.

“Mia, I have reserved a seat for you.” Dom said when we reached their table and Ryan looked at me with a 'I told you so' look on his handsome face and I just laughed.

“Thanks Dom, it was nice of you.” I sat down next him and Tyler glared at his brother.

“What?” Dom asked him, but he just shook his head with an annoyed expression.

“So Mia, how was your class?” Tyler asked me with a sweet, boyish smile.

“It was boring but we had fun, right?” I asked Ryan and winked at him, who was suddenly blushing. I giggled when I noticed. It wasn’t like him, but it was really cute to see this side of him as well.

“Awww, look at him, he is blushing.” Dom pointed at Ryan while he teased him.

“I am not, shut up, it’s just warm in here.” Ryan tried to cover his face. It was adorable.

“Okay guys, let’s eat, I am starving.” I told them and Ryan gave me a thankful look. We started to eat our food when a group of people entered the cafeteria. The crowd went quiet suddenly and I looked up to see what was going on. Bianca entered with her two side b***hes and two boys. They were handsome, both of them.

“What is she doing here? Are you seriously letting her sit by our table, Ryan?” Bianca whined with her high-pitched voice and I flinched. It was seriously hurting my ears. I needed to rub them not to feel the pain. Her voice could be considered as a superpower.

I started to giggle at my own joke and everybody looked at me curiously.

“What is so funny?” She crossed her arms in the front of her chest and she asked with the same voice. She was clearly annoyed and I couldn’t hold it back. I burst out laughing and the guys joined me too after a few seconds. I think they didn’t even know what we were laughing about, they were just laughing along with me. Bianca’s face became red and she burst out in screams. We all covered our ears.

'See..? I told you.' I laughed even harder and she stormed out of the cafeteria. The two of her ‘friends’ ran after her and the two boys shrugged their shoulders and sat down by the table.

“I think I know why you were laughing,” Ryan said with a chuckle.

“I doubt it.” I chuckled too. “I just thought about something funny...” I said with a smile.

“Do tell” one of the guys said. He had blond hair, blue eyes and an earring in his left ear.

“Well....” I started and waited for him to introduce himself.

“Zack and he is Sebastian.” he pointed to the other guy with brown hair and green eyes, while he held his hand out for me to shake. Sebastian just nodded at me, he seemed the quiet type.

“Mia, nice to meet you guys... So, Zack, her voice literally hurt my ears and I thought maybe she had a superpower kind of thing.” I told him with a shrug and a giggle. He burst out laughing. “And when she screamed... I was sure about it.” I added.

“I would never have guessed it,” Zack said, and started to eat.

“I knew it.” Ryan smiled widely at me and I returned it.

“Hey guys, the football competition starts after tomorrow. The coach asked me to tell you that we have practice tomorrow after school,” Sebastian said with a serious expression.

“Do you know with whom we are going to play?” Ryan asked him.

“I heard that school teams come from all over the USA; Denver, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, Washington, New Orleans... and a few more, so there will be a three-day competition to win the USA Soccer Cup.” Sebastian replied, and my stomach turned in knots hearing about New York's team. If the soccer team at my old school wins the local competition, then they will go for the USA Cup. That meant Josh would come here as well, since he was the captain of their team.

'Let’s just not think about the worst.'

“Mia, you need to come to the competition and cheer for us,” Tyler said, and then looked at me with puppy eyes.

'Awww...who can say no to that?'

“I’ll be there, no need to look at me like that.” I told him with a laugh.

“See you guys by the lockers after the last class.” Dom said when we finished with our lunch and everybody went to attend their classes.

I headed towards my history class when someone caught my arm and pulled me into the janitor’s closet.

“What a...?” I started to say when I saw Bianca in front of me. She started to undress slowly and I couldn’t help but watch her every movement. Mia? That was strange of her to say. I thought that she hated her.

“Okay, I will be there.” I told her and left the janitor’s closet to go to my class. I was a bit late, but it wasn’t new. The teachers didn’t give me detention anymore, since I never attended them anyway, so they knew it was useless.

After classes ended, we all met up by the lockers to go home. I dropped Ty and Dom off first.

“Guys, we are going to change and eat something, then we will meet at Mia's.” Dom told us when they got out of the car.

“Okay, see you later.” I told them and started to drive us home. I hoped I would see Mia in that sexy bikini again.

“See you in half an hour.” I told her when we arrived and she nodded her head and we both went home. I went into the kitchen to eat something. Nobody was at home yet. After eating, I went upstairs to change into my swimming trunks and I didn’t bother with the T-shirt since I would just go to next door and it was warm outside.
