I started my day at the pool, doing long laps, as I thought about yesterday and how excited Dad was to meet another enthusiastic sports fan. I had no idea how today was going to go. I hoped that Bethany was a true sports fan or my dad would be very sad. He had been building up his expectations all week since I suggested sports day to him.
Dad arrived at my place fifteen minutes before the game, hoping the place we were going would stay pretty close. I had yet to tell him exactly where Bethany lived in our building. Well, I don't think I did. He was dressed in his team's shirt and jeans, the same as me, and was carrying the two cases of beer. I had left at his place. I quickly took the beer.
