Pete and Mork talked on their way through the kept forest on the island. Mork could lead them through it with his eyes closed since he had walked this path countless times in his life. His father created marks, afraid some guests might get lost, and he didn’t want to keep a guide in the resort on a small island like this one. But Mork’s father made sure the routes were safe, before he let the guests walk them alone. Mork could as well inform Pete about the paths instead of going with him, but he wanted to use this opportunity to get close to him. Pete didn’t complain. He kept asking questions about different trees growing alongside the route or simply asked about the animals they heard or saw.
