Michael POV
I came back after 11 pm that night.Ana was still lingering around my thoughts.
Was I feeling guilty for betraying her?
I walked inside the apartment and went directly to the bedroom.My little kitten was sleeping peacefully.
I sat down beside her and gently woke her up.
"Baby girl?"
She opened her eyes slowly."Mr.Knight." She whispered.
"I am sorry for coming back so late." I rubbed my thumb over her cheek.
"Why'd you wake me up?" She asked.
"Did you have your dinner?" I asked.
"Yes." She replied and closed her eyes.
"You had dinner without me?" I asked.
"Hmm." She said with her eyes closed.
I sighed and went to the bathroom to change.No wonder she was angry.
Anastasia POV
Earl was right.Mr.Knight was a betrayer,a cheater and a monster.He was worse than Earl,he was worse than any other person.He was the worst.
When Earl send me those pictures of him talking to another woman.Hugging and kissing her.
Her name was Kara.
The one who betrayed Mr.Knight and made him heartless.
Yet,Mr.Knight was still so madly into her.
He came out of the bathroom after showering.
He looked at me and frowned a bit.
"Baby girl?" He was about to touch me but I slapped his hand away.
"Don't touch me." I gritted my teeth.
"Leave." I said and stood up.
"Baby?" He whispered.
"Go,go! Just leave!" I yelled.
"Anastasia,what happened?" He asked and grabbed my arms.
"Mr.Knight,you have done enough for me.Now please leave." I said.I tried my best to control my tears.
"Tell me, goddamn it! Why are you acting like this?" He yelled.
"Oh? Now am I am acting like what? I've seen where you've been.I know what you have done.So please leave."
"What did I do?" He asked as if he never knew.
I grabbed my phone and showed him the pictures that Earl sent me.
He gasped.
"It was a mistake and I-I am sorry.You know what you mean to me." He said.
"Please Mr.Knight.You are my boss and I hope it stays that way.You don't need to pay for me.I will manage it myself." I said.
"Please understand." He said.
"I understand, Michael.I understand.We aren't good for each other.I hope you understand it too." I said.
He took one last glance before leaving the apartment.
He whispered in my ear,"I love......all the moments that I spend with you."
